The REAL Reason You Gain 15 LP A Game

dont you simply get more lp if you beat a team with a higher mmr than yourself? meaning, if everyone has similar mmr at a high rank, you will get less lp because they are not as much of a challenge as someone with higher mmr and rank. Ive been in iron since i started playin a niche style, and it seems not matter what, i win 28 lp and lose 18. all i need is a 50% win rate and i will climb.

Are there any official riot sources that confirm this? I've never heard anything like this. I can understand your rank out-pacing your MMR but this hardstuck flagged account thing seems like super counter productive information if it isn't true. I've played since S3 and maybe play 100-200 ranked games a season. I'm one of those players that just hits gold and stops playing ranked before this split. Now I'm like 20 ranked games into the split and I'm +39/-18 in plat 4 with a 65% win rate. I certainly don't fall under the category of a fresh account, transferred account, or previous smurf. I also don't typically dodge. It certainly could be that I haven't played enough games yet this split or due to emerald existing now, but I've never really ran into an issue with gaining a lot less LP from a loss than what I gain from a win.

yea no joke im playing with a freind adn iv gotten 3 of his accounts to diamond 1 while im demoting on 70 winrate an down 12 lp average 3.5-4kda per season across all my champs im only losing to afks or ppl dying once or twice per min. im sitting here forced tyo play with and against very inexperienced players and its just not fun

I feel this system is so bad like sure they can check your previous rank and determine where you go in placements but don't look at mmr. Like I played in past but never to climb seriously and past 3 seasons I was bronze. Now I'm Silver 2 and feel like riot is giving me bad teammates or smurfs on enemy team just to "balance" it or for me to lose on purpose because I am not in rank I deserve... Even tho I had like 95% winrate in 30 games, won 18 games in a row I was gaining 28lp tops and loosing 24. Now I'm 60% winrate with 70 games

i have a gain range between +17 and +24 and i lose -27 lp, i even lost -41. i'm currently bronze 1 with an overall 49% wr (52w-55l) and a 60% wr in my last 20 ranked games idk but i think my mmr is complete dog water

I played the same ranked games with a friend of mine (we never play appart) and he landed Silver III and I landed Iron II , I was so confused about this, specially since my scores were generally better

I'm on +15 EVERY WIN, and every loss is -32 minimum. Riot needs to fix this because to me that's ridiculous. Yesterday I won 17 games in a row. Today I lost 134 LP in 4 losses. 134 LP in 4 losses after winning 17 games in a row. I literally have to win 9 times to gain back those 4 losses. It's sad they can't get it right.

question to anyojne who can respond: if your account is uncapped mmr (winning 38, 36 a game) and you get a couple o flosses and you lp gains drop to 29, is it possible to get it back to unlimited or is it capped already?

Wait, so does the retransfer method still works? If so I'm gonna have to use that, because I've been playing on my main account for years, but every time I hit D2 my LP gains become negative.

Edit: the account retransfer method no longer works, and I just wasted nearly $50 :)
