Win7 is still be best OS - MS ruined it by trying to cobble together a desktop and tablet OS together in one (Surface), All OS use too many services today. Many programs like Office should be open and close. Not open then run in the background forever.

I remember Windows 8. I miss it... it was so snappy and lightweigth. I miss it very much. It was the first time in the history of Microsoft where their OS felt like an OS. Not a bloatware.

Windows 8.1 have good start up screen plus brings a good performance to older pc. Windows 10 was a worse Windows that fix 100 bugs back in time. Windows 11 was no good because start screen is the worse plus it just a basic build like changing how they looked and earn money. Windows 7 for some reason people confused about because you should try 8.1. 8.1 have the best app organizer than 7,10,11.

As someone who has been on 7, and 8 occasionally, it's safe to say that these operating systems are quick, stable, and the perfect choice for lower hardware requirements. 7 is great for the traditional desktop, while 8 would benefit greatly with a device with touch compatibility.

I still use Windows 8 today. There is absolutely no issues with the operating system on my side and my boot up time to user login is just a little under 4 seconds ! Come to think of it... I never had issues with any Windows operating system. I reckon that user input plays an important role in the behaviour of any operating system.

I love Windows 11 to death. I always will, honestly. I am personally a HATER of Windows 10. Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 is OK.

There is no way this is a real test. Windows 8.1 won all tests and Windows 11 and 10 was the worst of the bunch.

i want to use laptop for tally , basic microsoft apps and video editing . i am thinking for installing 240 gb crucial ssd bx500 or mx500 confused between them please tell which os should will be best incase i add ssd and if not??

when you are using Windows 10 or 11 it means your pc runs 70% for microsoft and 30% for you.
And when using Windows 8.1 it runs 100% for you.
. windows 10 consume 3 gb ram and high data ane high background processing. whereas windows 8.1 consume only 1gb and less background. so it run more faster than 10 and 11.
