Please help me out. I’m an upcoming cyber security student. I just started. And I owned MacBook Pro already. I kinda find lil difficulty with regards to some software. And I’m not ready to purchase a windows machine. I’m so confused now. What can I do. Any help please. ..??!!!! Thank you ❤

The only reason i keep going back to macOS is the anti aliazing on the font and spotlight and maybe the animations...

Hey pro l am new at programming ,l need to buy good laptop to use what should l buy macbook air m1 or lenovo legion 5 pro they are in the same price

iOS/macOS development and creative/design applications. Otherwise, Linux is the far superior system for development

Optimized for everything except testing pcvr experiences… yeah I’ll stick to fx 8350 and gtx 1050 (works for now but I’m getting an a750 for Christmas to test higher fps)

Also battery is pretty good on Mac compared to windows pc’s.

Windows can self destruct in any minute so that’s also a prop to macOS

macOS has nano edit and terminal and is able to run all type of sh sh codes and uses both bash and zsh so yes. Mac is better for coding.

Let’s not forget windows laptops have like 2h batter life after 1 year. And when they’re not plugged in they don’t perform at 100%, not even close. Also they sound like an airplane engine.

Imagine if MS or google start to limit things and now you can only only develop windows or android apps on windows only 💀👍

Im a linux admirer, It's a very powerful OS talking about developing, you know, Fedora, Arch, Debian, have great package manager and they run pretty smooth, but I have to admit that the new M2, M2pro Macs, are insanely powerful, they run things quite a bit faster than any linux machine, and if you are able to afford the price of a Mac I guess you should go for it, And for Win Pc, I would say the only scenario where u might need a "Windows" machine is if you are a WinForm or a powershell developer.

so to make mac OS compatible app it needs to be compiled in a mac os?

I’m in cyber security in pen testing role and have been on W10, using virtual machines for all of my Linux distros on the daily. I’m looking into a new laptop for work but really unsure on the jump to Mac. Being very familiar with the unix architecture, I believe I’d be good. But how about the virtualisation? Will I be able to run my native Mac OS and spin up a Kali VM easy enough? This is a huge part for me. Thanks :)
