Would you say that this list of recommendations applies well to getting into cybersecurity in Australia ? I've been trying to work out which certs are the most in demand and valuable in Australia and I see a lot of people saying things like CompTIA are less valuable in Australia as opposed to the US for example.

Your videos have really given me a good insight into the Cybersecurity world many thanks. I am 57 is that too old to get into Cybersecurity and if not which areas of Cybersecurity would be easiest to get into taking to account the training and experience needed.

I'd agree with everything except for the SANs certs. They are useless as very few can afford them, especially anyone who is trying to get into the industry. I do believe they are amazing, as are Lamborghini's.........but I'm never going to drive one.

Hey brother hope you are doing very well. Watching every video you Upload. I have been trying to find a cyber security job for the past couple of months but so far hasn't find any. However I just found this job which is System Engineer so I just took the job but I still want to get to cyber security. Even though System engineering is not 100% related to cyber security but I was wondering if it will still be a good experience for my resume if I am looking for a cyber security job? Please let me know. Thank you brother.

Just my take on Security +, I am pretty new to cyber security, have been working in the field for one year now. I studied around 3 months for sec+ and did some labs, vídeo course and at the end the exam questions. I must say it kicked my butt, I passed it with few points above the minimum required score. For someone like you with over 20 years of experience in the field it is probably not very valuable cert but for me it was an awesome journey and now I am wraping up my prep for the CySa+ as a next step

Good information, I love how you give it to me straight, especially about the cissp but truly I see every job asking for it to even get an interview, could be totally wrong, but if someone is only concentrating on grc, how can the oscp be of any use? Even for roles such at information security officer I can't see how this would be any use

You downplayed CISSP so much lol. It's a very hard exam. Have you done it recently? It's not just cram and dump and the people who did it in 2 weeks are super rare. People who work in Cybersecurity do care about it. You contradict yourself in your video. You said you have no idea why a security analyst would need a CISSP but in the same portion you said the CISSP is very broad and covers a bunch of topics. Those topics include what a security analyst does. Also I would like to mention I have spoken with a few hiring managers who said they want CISSP for most of their security roles specifically because it shows them they are hiring someone who has a wide array of knowledge in security as whole. Then they look at the specific experience they have in the job role they are hiring for. " a little harder then Sec+ " " Not that hard " " in the real world no one cares ". You are a fool. Get the cert yourself then talk shit.

sir please help, Sir iam a BCA Cybersecurity final year student, last two years of my collage i learned nothing even the basics ,my cgpa is very low ,what should i do now, should i focus on certificates from learning basics to up,or should i focus on collage getting some marks
i have seen your videos and understand the importance of skills and the certificates which help us to achieve the skills, but iam asking this question because here while hiring everyone is asking about degree and cgpa also,in my collage itself 80%marks is required for attending interviews

So you ranked PenTest+ as F but didn't really defend the position. As someone with PenTest+ I found it balanced the CySA+ well. Also sure GIAC is highly ranked but really S tier with that price? Talking B tier for practicality alone.

Im currently doing certificate IV in cyber security at TAFE Qld here in Australia. Looking to add some more certificates onto my belt after ive qualified, so videos like this i greatly appreciate. Experience concerns me a little as its hard to get entry level positions without it. Worked in hospitality most of my career so anything to build skill set is highly valuable to me. Kind regards, and thank you for your content.

I have GIAC and CISSP certifications. Both were difficult in very different ways. GIAC was technical and CISSP was about thinking as a manager.

Please give me an honest advice in OCEG' GRCP certificate.
I have years of compliance experience and want to bolster my resume by adding the GRCP certification. What are your thoughts?
