The only redundancy that worked was the backup power. Everything else Stockton fooled people about failed. There was no automatic ascender of any kind that actually worked, primary or backup. The RTM of the hull only served as a 20 minute warning to impending end of life. That was a major bragging point Stockton harped on and it was useless.

If they were in an emergency they would of been doing only 3 knocks at a time as that is the proper way to signal a SOS. No doubt they knew that.

How could sonar near the wreckage detect banging noises if the vessel was no longer intact? I think she meant sonar near where the intact sub was believed to be and it picked up banging noises.

Those banging sounds could have been something else. Since they lost communication around 3500 feet deep, that’s probably when the sub imploded. I find it highly unlikely after losing communication that they made it to the seafloor in complete darkness without the submersible imploding.

Just because they knew the sub was in trouble doesnt mean they didnt die instantly.

It could be them, or else it could just be debris but I think it is them because I’ve heard another video where the water light comes in and then I can just hear water splashing so I think it was them and then they like died from the pressure when the water imploded

Pssst, They heard the Banging on Sonar Every 15-30 Minutes and Said that the Day It IMPLODED. However They Died Instantly as The Submersible Imploded, Banging was to tell Sonar they were in Trouble and a Plea for Help However once the Hull Breached it was Instantaneous Death and They Never Felt a Thing. It imploded, it would have been more than instantaneous. The knocking sounds could be absolutely anything, could be wreckage of Titanic banging against other bits of wreckage in the underwater currents. There is absolutely no way anyone in that submersible could have survived at that depth. It's physically impossible.

Honestly, this whole incident was a waste of time and resources. They knew full well about the submersible’s history it was uncertified by a governing body,, and even the CEO of Ocean, openly admitted that it has been certified it even states it in the waiver that the risk could be the material it was made out of wasn’t designed to withstand that amount of pressure the more dies it took the weaker , the whole got after the first trip . It shouldn’t have been allowed to enter the water , the government , New ocean gate was doing something criminal yet? They sent out Coast Guard and even the military got involved knowing full well what had happened? Also the news reporter clearly doesn’t know the science of an implosion when something implodes it instantaneous, and especially at that depth would’ve been vaporised, kind of like dropping the Hiroshima bombanyone who was exposed to the flash was vaporised instantly there was no time to react the same with this incident. So the sub imploded on decent to the titanic and the coast guard caught this sound but didn’t tell anyone because they wasn’t sure.

The knocking sound we heard was metal but remember they were going to the titanic so that could have been the banging noise we heard from that or it could have been from any ship within that area.
