This video is excellent for anyone clearing an athlete to RTS in the clinic but can get messy on the sideline. Usually, the athlete has to demonstrate that they can complete sport-specific tasks in multiple directions before getting bracing or some wrapping/taping on it. With parents, coaches, and fans breathing down your neck (I'm an athletic trainer in the U.S., similar to a sports physiotherapist), it can be difficult to make an RTS decision even with these clinical tools.
ОтветитьWhere was this video when I was actually playing sports
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьHey, I fractured my scaphoid, and now have it in a cast. Before cast and even now in cast, I feel my thumb popping back and forth. It feels more natural when it's "back"
Is this likely to be only a fracture or also a tear of a ligament? I'd really appreciate an answer:)
Thanks!
ОтветитьI'm not surprised that static balance did not make the cut. Unless your sport requires it, it is a skill that seems to have more weight then is sensible in some athlete's training programs anyway.
ОтветитьGood
ОтветитьNothing said.... Five lost minutes. The only solution is that there is no solutionnn...
