How are these even humanly possible but Bo did it
ОтветитьI came for the finger wag.
ОтветитьHe was touched by the hand of god ! Or sold his soul to the devil!! Just insane !!
ОтветитьJustin Trudeau is a better athlete though: champion surfer, and a terrific dancer.
ОтветитьBo's the last real superhuman we have seen, to be so athletic you are a star in two different professional sports at the same time, thats what I call superhumans. Dion was too, but not as good as Bo, Bo was unbelievably good at both sports.
ОтветитьThere are only two men who immediately jump to mind who could come close to duplicating these throws. One is Roberto Clemente, who at one time was a legitimate javelin thrower in his young life. He still had that form when he played for Santurcce in Puerto Rico, and then for the Pirates.
The other guy is Ichiro Suzuki.
I'm sure there are others.
Honestly, Bo was just in a whole other dimension.
THE Legend.
ОтветитьAmazing
Ответить"he cant do it"....say that again about Bo Jackson
Ответитьconsidered great at football but baseball was his sport imo.
ОтветитьIs there a wide shot of the throw on Reynolds?
ОтветитьThe Ump had a clear view of the play at the plate, it was a easy call
ОтветитьDame Bo..... what a throw....... Mercy.....DAME
ОтветитьRoberto Clemente is almost unanimously considered to have the best OF arm i MLB history. I submit Bo Jackson for that spot.
ОтветитьIt's so sad that Bo Jackson got injured he would have been a living highlight real
ОтветитьOverrated
ОтветитьBO KNOWS HOW TO THROW!!!
ОтветитьThese baserunners did realize who they hit the ball to right.
Ответить“Royals get a break”
“I think they had him, don’t you?”
“I think they had him too”
Ummm, how did the Royals get a break if they got him? 😂
The finger wave from RF is forever etched on my mind. TAKE A SEAT SUCKER AND DON'T TRY THAT AGAIN haha
ОтветитьThe announcers on the last play tried to give more credit to Mcfarland. I don't even know who that is.
ОтветитьWhoever recorded this should be fired.
Ответитьthere`s a reason they ran on him
ОтветитьImagine if bo Jackson had been a quarterback.
ОтветитьNo better feeling as an outfielder is throwing people out. Got the opportunity a few times in my hay day and only have a handful to remember but its amazing!
ОтветитьWould that last play be considered plate interference now?
ОтветитьThe real GOAT !!
ОтветитьIf the ball was hit to left just don’t run it’s that simple lol
Ответитьmental note, that play is illegal today, catcher can not block the plate.
ОтветитьIt will be at least be another decade before we see anyone who can perform at the level Bo did.
ОтветитьWow throw with the white soxes. He threw him out with a bad hip.
ОтветитьBo Jackson and Dwight Evans were awesome MLB outfielders.
ОтветитьSteroids got a number of assists during his career! He was an amazing Athlete but it's a cold, hard fact that he was 1 of a large number of Professional Athlete's who abused HGH/Steroids! No arguments to be made, it's a fact!
ОтветитьLove Bo!
ОтветитьClark Kent has nothing on Bo Jackson.
ОтветитьBest pound for pound athlete that ever lived in my opinion---pretty tough to find a better natural gifted athlete than Bo!
ОтветитьMan what an amazing athlete natural ability sure but he had to train all the time.
ОтветитьCan you imagine how good and long of a career Jackson could of had if only he played baseball, instead of baseball and football.
ОтветитьGood grief Split, dude was out, how is that a break for the Royals?
ОтветитьRoyals get a break? Jackson threw his ass out
ОтветитьHe maybe an Auburn Tiger 🙄🤢, but I maintain he was the best athlete of all time.
ОтветитьAn absolutely incredibly quick sweep tag by Boonie to finish the play so that we still watch this throw 30 years later. Otherwise, we would have forgotten all about it. Great defensive catcher.
Ответитьnothing like a commentator obliterating his own thoughts.
ОтветитьTwo points: 1) Regarding the first play on the video, the announcer initially said, "The Royals got a break on that one," meaning because the home plate umpire was out of position. What is implied by this is that the runner was really out, but Bo indeed nailed him! And the announcer did indeed concede a few seconds later that the runner was indeed out. 2) Holy Holy: if you guys slow the last play of the video down to .25, you will see that the base runner's hand was maybe millimeters, not centimeters, from touching the plate, if he indeed did not actually touch it. Amazing how close it was if you slow it down. And if indeed he was out, I don't think he would have been out if a mere mortal would have thrown that cannonball! Bo, you were and are an inspiration! Thank you if you are reading this.
ОтветитьThe only “break” the Royals got was that the out of position umpire still got the call right. Reynolds’s was out by 3’ on a play that he should have scored easily on. There are probably 4 or 5 guys in MLB history that could have made that throw and most of those guys played in right field so they probably wouldn’t have been able to make it.
ОтветитьReynolds says it’s the greatest play in baseball history. So much went on here as everyone believed it was game over.
Reynolds was stealing and never missed stride. He knew it was impossible to get him with a cut off throw. Catcher Bob Boone starts walking toward the dugout. But Reynolds teammate is motioning slide, slide. Boone darts toward the plate to accept the throw. The first base umpire didn’t bother to run home cuz he knew the game was over. Fortunately he got the call right. Reynolds threw his helmet down cuz he knew what happened was impossible. He still thought a cutoff man threw him out. He’s told in the dugout that Bo made the throw. After the game , He
watched clip after clip , shaking his head. Even the camera guys screwed up, thinking it was over. The best shot, was panning to Bo as he’s scratching his balls , like no big deal.
Snagging a ball and turning and throwing flat footed , a 100mph rocket , the length of a football field , that if it’s off target 6 inches, Reynolds is safe.
I don’t know if it’s posted , but the stories of Bo Jackson, told by Art Stewart (royals director of scouting) are incredible.
I read his autobiography many years ago and I remember it said he could throw a football 100 yards. 😮
ОтветитьToo bad for Bo and the whole sports loving world that too much muscle to tendon/ligament ratio, with year round wear and tear led to his athletic demise.
ОтветитьBo knows.
ОтветитьBaseball back then was so much better than it is now!
