The garage door seal should be set while the door is closed, then opened to pound the nails in so you do not hit and dent the door. There are also spring hinges you can get that keep the door from flexing in windy areas. Do not bend the vinyl flap or press it to tightly or it can cup.

Fyi: you have to install the trim <vynl seal> from top to botto.
