Accumulating books? We don’t know her 🌝
Ответить❤📚
ОтветитьI loved criers war 😩 never picked up the second though, so I feel you
ОтветитьOh, what's wrong with Scotiabank?
ОтветитьI didn't know about Pierce Brown and I actually purchased Red Rising yesterday 😢I will return it. Thank you so much for informing us, this is very helpful to know. I am loving your channel ❤
ОтветитьLove an unhaul! It's such an easy way to feel totally refreshed. I think the only book you should take a second look at is Raybearer, but of course you can always get it from the library and don't need every book you're ever interested in on your shelves (this is something I'm trying to learn)
ОтветитьThe only one that hurt me was Butcher and Blackbird as that was one of my favorite books of the year. But if it's not your thing it's not your thing. I can relate to phasing out of books and some of the ones I've let go were also in this stack.
ОтветитьDo u sell your books on Pangobooks or something?
ОтветитьNo to anything by Leigh Bardugo, because we love Palestine here!
ОтветитьPS Taylor Jenkins Reid is a zionist so unhaul unhaul unhaul!
ОтветитьCongrats on not only being on booktok for 6 years but also for reaching 100k subscribers ❤ I’m so happy and proud of you (:
ОтветитьUnrelated but you look stunning!
ОтветитьI hate to be that person, but if you were going to give any book a chance I would suggest Raybearer. I almost unhauled it without reading it and I read the first chapter and was immediately hooked! It was surprising and so good!
ОтветитьYou look gorgeous! Thank you for telling me about Pierce Brown. I genuinely appreciate it. I had been thinking about checking out the Red Rising series for some time after seeing it get recommended a couple of times but knowing that his position is harmful regarding an ongoing genocide has made me not want to do it anymore.
Before anyone says that it's 'cancel culture' or I shouldn't care about his personal opinions, people have the right to choose who to support or not with their time and money. It's not cancel culture to not want to support an author who has taken some part in denying the humanity of people. People who don't care about an author's racism or bigotry often tend to be those who aren't targeted by it.
The only one that hurt me is Raybearer, I loved it when I first read it!! It felt like the author wrote the story just for me. Unfortunately, the sequel didn’t live up to my expectations 💔 The same thing happened with Bloodmarked
ОтветитьThis made me feel so much better about the reading slump-ish I’ve been having. I’m turning 27 this year and I’m just not into ya/high school stories. I tried reading one recently by Lynn Painter and I just did not care about any of the people or their problems. I feel bad when I mark a book DNF because the author worked hard on that story and I feel like I’m attacking them personally (anxiety life) but you’re right! There are only so many hours in a day and only so many more years in our lives that we should read books we are excited about!!♥️
ОтветитьHonestly The Guinevere Deception is an all time favorite for me, but I don't know how much you'd enjoy it. IT DOES have a queer woman as Lancelot, which I really adored, and the way it retold the Arthurian legend was extremely fun and exciting. I still need to read the third book, but the first two were extremely fun and I'll always remember how much of a good time I had reading them!
ОтветитьI have also started unhauling books. The books get a new home and I get space on my bookshelves.
ОтветитьIf u have looked at the books she unhauled most of them were written by white people
ОтветитьOMG u really just said that u only want to read from authors of colour ur one of the main problems with the world
ОтветитьI love a balance of showing off for myself 😂 and then having shelves be functional. It’s like a kids library. I’m like let’s put cute little stuffed animals on it like in elementary scbool😂
ОтветитьCongrats for 6 years! I'm recently getting into the world of booktube and I love it so much! There are some books I want to unhaul, but the YA books I loved especially growing up, I don't think I could ever get rid of them.
ОтветитьDC Icons books never captivated me.
ОтветитьI really think you would like Written in the Stars! It was easy to read within a day and really beautiful.
ОтветитьI've unhaul my collection before I move two weeks ago, and like you I found my taste in genre has changes a lot.
ОтветитьHow do you get rid of the books? Do you donate them do the library or resell somewhere?
ОтветитьHaven’t finished the video, but the part about kobo 🫶🏼 I got mine in like 2020, and I haven’t brought a physical copy in so long. And most people around me won’t understand my love for how easy it is to download from your library, to read at night, how you can adjust the font and size. It’s helped me read so much than buying books and budgeting and it taught me how to dnf books 😂
ОтветитьSeeing this unhaul made me realize I would love to see a shelf tour with your new set up! Having a wall of bookshelves is a life goal of mine😍
ОтветитьLove your videos and your constant unwavering support of Palestine! ❤
Ответитьscythe author is also a massive zionist and his depiction of the middle east in those books is honestly disgusting
ОтветитьI love that you have the flag of Palestine ♥️ thank you
ОтветитьI have really gotten into audiobooks lately, especially because I can listen to them anywhere as long as I have my phone. They have really helped me tackle my tbr in a big way. Plus it's great for before bed because you can put it on a timer to play to a point, so you can fall asleep listening.
Ответитьwhat do you do with the unhauled books? give away or resell or.
ОтветитьAs I tell people, buying, collecting, and reading books are three separate hobbies. 😂😂😂
ОтветитьOk so hear me out: if you were to just read one from this whole unhaul, it should be Raybearer. I had it in my audible app for like 3 years cause I got it for dirt cheap and kept putting off actually reading it because I don't read YA fantasy anymore, but when I DID finally get to it it was absolutely amazing and I devoured the duology in less than a week. While it does have some themes typical of YA, it's surprisingly mature and relatable, even as an adult!
ОтветитьI spot 🇵🇸. 💕💕
Ответить💜💜
ОтветитьYou saying The Archived series was unpopular.. when it first came out it was EVERYWHERE and everyone read it. Then again, I've been watching booktube literally since 2012
ОтветитьI adore your channel! So glad it exists ❤
ОтветитьOh girl, your book unhaul is nothing like the one I just did! Took me over a week but I got rid of every book with less than a 4star rating on an average from Goodreads and Storygraph. I donated close to 300+ books to my local library book sale. Feels so good! Let the books fly to other readers to enjoy them!
ОтветитьCan you explain soda bank giller prize?
ОтветитьWelp I’m not checking out red rising anymore
ОтветитьGood on you for getting rid of so many! It can be so hard to part with books 🥲I just did a massive unhaul myself where I said goodbye to over 30 books, I just posted it too 💖
ОтветитьReally weird suggestion but on the atles six could you swap the dust jacket so you can keep the fancy sprayed edges but still be with the sequels
Ответитьmy body was (imo) so so good! once of my favourite memoirs, so sad you were not able to give it a shot :(
ОтветитьGlad you told us we can mention books you should keep!!!! Because I think Ifueko discusses adult themes in Raybearer but just in a YA setting! and in my opinion the sequel gets even better! Hope you read it 😸
Ответить🇵🇸 saw this and clicked
ОтветитьSaying that you are unhauling books because you don't like the skin color of the author is so offensive and insane.
