2 YEARS/$112 MILLION
ОтветитьWhat about Snagga Tooth Williams who in 1832 signed highest paid contract in history for $2 and a biscuit...
He had a good year too. 85 TDs, 103 sacks, 54 ints, 10,000 yards lol
How about NFL Explained: Evolution of NFL Trades.
ОтветитьQuit using a female term for men; Cinderella is a female.
ОтветитьDrew Brees still one of the best signings ever.
Ответить2023 Free agency day baby!!!
ОтветитьI can NEVER forget the beginning of Free Agency (FA), because at the time my team, the Cowboys, were World Champs and FA dismantled our Dynasty. I remember getting TE Jay Novacekvin Plan B FA and thinking what a steal he was. Within 5 years, my team, from players to coaches, was deconstructed slowly but surely.
ОтветитьIt was a welcome surprise hearing the legend, Marv Albert, making an announcing cameo in this video.
ОтветитьI always find a reason to scrutinize non QB contracts now because of guys like D'Brickashaw Fergusons contract details.
ОтветитьImagine letting go of Johnny Unitas, arguably known as the father of modern quarterbacking. The guy involved in the Greatest Game Ever Played. The guy who romanticized the idea of a late drive to win the game. Imagine being the organization that let him go, let him risk the finances with gas money to even try and meet the Colts. And you had him.
ОтветитьIt really is ridiculous how much these guys get paid to have fun
ОтветитьThe value from Priest Holmes 🔥
ОтветитьUndrafted free agents and no mention ot the league's greatest kicker ever? Cmon man.
ОтветитьAbsolutely loved this video. From the narrator’s enthusiasm to the great visuals and the deep history lesson, I’m really glad I found this channel.
ОтветитьMan yall paying these athletes way to much money 😂
ОтветитьJohn Randle; Greatest Undrafted FA of All Time
ОтветитьCan you use three tags every year?
ОтветитьReserve system sounded awful. Glad that’s out of the game
ОтветитьFoles maybe over Werner as best Cinderella
ОтветитьI did a research project on Red Grange!
ОтветитьWhat about exclusive rights free agents?
ОтветитьLarry brown should give half his money to Neil O'Donnell.
ОтветитьHoly sh** that "reserve rule" was stupid. 😳😳
ОтветитьNobody didn’t want to play for the lions😂😂😂
Ответить13.45 is so wholesome
ОтветитьThe worst free agent signing ever has to be the Brock Oswiler signing.
ОтветитьJohnny Unitus was a Steeler!??
ОтветитьI actually know how recent all this free agency is, I was a kid when they implemented the salary cap.
ОтветитьI can’t believe my Steelers could of had Unitas
But we did have bradshaw
Cousins, weirdly enough, deserves about 90% of the cash he gets. Not 100%, but damn close
ОтветитьThanks for sharing. In-depth reporting on an interesting topic. Shawn R., Mo-Mutt Music/Sacred & Secular (and sports fan)
ОтветитьAs a born and bred 49ers living in the heart of Patriots country (30 mins from Foxborough) and then hearing the reports that Brady wanted to come home to SF only to have Kyle and John say they're sticking with Garoppollo was the 2nd time this team has broken my heart and cost us SB's. The 1st was 2005 taken Alex Smith over Aaron Rodgers. What could've been....
ОтветитьRIP Demaryius Thomas
ОтветитьRip DT
ОтветитьThe NFL and it's teams were tremendously better before free agency and fantasy football (legalized gambling)
Ответитьthe first 9 or so minutes of this video is just really rich owners colluding and scheming to screw the players. some things never change.
ОтветитьI agree with everyone else here, I never get tired of watching stuff like this and the throwback channel in particular does a great job. I am curious though, as the episode states that in the event a franchise loses a player that has been designated "Non-Exclusive Franchise Player" said franchise will receive two first round draft picks as compensation? That cant be correct is it? I am pretty sure the round those compensatory draft picks will be selected is determined by a combination of the round they were originally selected from and the following seasons production if I am not mistaken ?. I just cant picture 1 much less 2 first round draft picks being bantered about in such a manner. Can anyone help with this question?
ОтветитьI enjoyed this, enlightening & entertaining..thank you!
ОтветитьRodney Harrison was the biggest asshole as a player and continues it as an announcer.
ОтветитьKirk Cousins got the biggest deal because in 2017 the Vikings seemed one piece away from being Super Bowl contenders, seemingly needing only a good-not-great QB and there was none of these accept Cousins coming up in the next draft (the would fall to the Vikes draft spot) or free agency. It doesn't look so crazy in context but with hindsight yeah he probably got too much.
ОтветитьI know it’s not the same sport, but remember when everyone lost their shit when Garnett signed a 125 million dollar contact? Nowadays, players feel insulted if only offered anything around that amount. We’ll see our first billion dollar contract in sports in the next 10-15 years. Just in the last 20 years salaries in the jumped an insane amount. Top players back then were making around 8-10 million a year. Now, it’s in the ballpark of 40-50 million a year
ОтветитьAnd Unitas Came from Louisville go cards
ОтветитьManning still the best free agent signing.
ОтветитьHardy Nickerson was one of the most underrated free agent signings in modern NFL history.
