The SIG SPEAR LT in 5.56, The new rifle of the SAS and SOCOM/Gen 3 MCX

Correction to Sig Optic information on the Romeo8. Made in America. Emitter in made in South Korea, Circuit boards are assembled in Washington and housings are made in Oregon.

Not only is the rifle expensive but the requirement to wear all that tacticool gear just to shoot it on top of that!

We all know that the U.S. Military has gone with the dog 6.8 service rifle I hope that the magazine feed issue has been corrected. Now the other questions is what if any baonet can be used on the 6.8 Spear

The military version of the rifle does use a heavy chrome lining in the barrel though. It’s rough for me to know that SIG cut a corner for a civilian rifle. This version of the rifle is good and all, but it’s for recreation, not heavy use. I noticed a lot of talk about the military version as if it’s one in the same with this. At this price point I expect no corners to be cut. I’d rather get a SCAR.
