"I can't wait to cover the sequel" I've been waiting 5 years for that video

I, Adam West. First time watching this review. Infinity War was a masterpiece. Not just for superhero movies but any genre.
Alas, I'm writing this comment in 2023. A dystopian future where Marvel shits out the most incoherent, woke, retarded trash you can imagine. The MCU died soon after End Game, but Disney keeps trying to reanimate the corpse.

This was without a doubt not only Marvel's but the entire superhero movies' peak.
A bringing together of multiple established characters, developed with care over several movies, coupled with the height of the public's interest for such a thing.
It was truly an amazing experience to see this on the cinema, and regardless of how fitting or unfitting the next movie was, Infinity Wars really spiked everyone interest and got tons of people hyped for what was to come.
I'll remember that fondly forever, as I continue to ignore everything made by Marvel (and basically every other hero franchise) for the past several years.

My only minor complaint, is that I don't think Thor ever acknowledges that the warriors 3 are dead. Is that ever referenced after Ragnarok?

I love how most of this "unbridled praise" is just Mauler explaining the script, because it's that good and speaks for itself.

All the more so now. Infinity War remains absolutely an incredible film. It just does everything so right and pulled the audience right in.

Endgame may have had flaws. But it still worked to finish off what this movie set up. And no one will likely come close to surpassing Thanos in the MCU (mostly since it's falling apart). But this guy's introduction was beating up the Hulk...and then adding infinity stones to his gauntlet. Just really hitting home how insanely strong that guy is.

Nice to remember the good things and not only the bad as the MCU sputters around.

If Thanos accidentally hit the same planet twice, by his logic, he'd remove 75% of the population rather than 50%. His system is flawed

"Why is Gamora" was a fine joke, but I much preferred "What master do I serve, what am I supposed to say, Jesus?"
But I'm biased towards jokes that include Jesus for some reason.

I always think back to how lucky everyone was that Thano's army consisted of space dogs. That way the Wanakdans with their shields and spears weren't just completely stomped. But if instead Thanos's army fought with the military technology of like The Cold War, they'd be screwed.

How curious now no one is complaining about mauler being an hater. I guess you're a hater exclusively when you criticize things other people like? They just switch on an off their very silly definitions.

fun fact about the why is gemora line: that was entirely improvised. it wasn't in the original script, but everyone thought it was such a great line they kept it in.

Watching this today made me so nostalgic for the cinematic adventure it was, and also flabbergasted at how far and fast it has fallen since endgame. Luckily I chose endgame as my marvel end after the writing was on the wall for the next phase, the MSheU and the death of intelligent writing. Unbelievable the mishandling of a universe thats greatest challenge was establishing itself as a universe of characters to be loved and believed, and after they achieved that... phase 4. all the passion for the art and the characters was lost. Messaging and themes became the point. They could have just gone on building a cinematic universe. Instead they felt the desire to get D+ involved with fuckin tv shows, ending the universal appeal of a cinematic universe and forcing you to subscribe to understand context established in forgettable and mediocre tv shows. Truly Unbelievable that we could receive this, and that they could destroy it all so quickly.

I almost jumped out of my seat from excitement when they showed the location card for the Guardians and it was just "Space". Along with the music, it was the PERFECT intro to the guardians. I dont even know why I love it so much, but I love that moment of genius from whoever decided to put it there. Just briliant. Amazing movie as well. Aaahhhh the days when Marvel was reliably good.

Watching this in 2023 is literally painful, both mentally and even physically. How is it possible we went from this level of writing to where we are now? They put so much work and attention to this movie, capturing nature and characteristics of sooo many characters, while in the follow ups (putting No Way Home aside of course) they cannot properly capture a nature of a single character, no matter how easy it would be. It is truly astonishing...
