Epson Ink Pad Needs Service | Reset Ink Pad Counter for Epson Printer

I honestly didn’t think I was going to be able to do this BUT I did. Thank you so much for this tutorial. I have very limited computer skills -just enough to do my job, but I really didn’t want to pay for a new printer. I opted to buy a replacement waste ink tank on Amazon instead of cleaning the old sponges, and I am so pleased that the key I purchased worked and I could easily work through the steps to reset the counter. I did this exact method back in july 2024 ( bought a new ink pad and everything) and several things happened: 1. I had to completely reset my printer and redownload the software and 2. I was only able to print like maybe 250 or so pages before my printer said I had to contact support ( which is why I'm here on this vid rn, it just happened). Anyone else experience something similar?

The WIC Reset Ket app you suggest will not open on my Mac Mini. I get an error message that "Apple could not verify 'wicreset.app' is free of malware...ect'. What can I do?

I'll never understand why we have to buy a reset key. Epson sold these printer so we don't have to buy cartridges. If you buy a new waste ink maintenance box which has a chip on it. It should automatically reset the counter. Or epson should sell the reset keys with the waste ink box replacement

However, despite my printer being connected to the internet, and I am able to reach all the websites I want very easily, when using the reset tool, my printer does not appear on the connected printer list, which confuses me. Does that depend on the waste ink pads that you insert into your printer, as to whether or not your printer appears on the list as being connected to the reset tool and to the internet or not? My printer does appear on the list of supported printers in the reset tool, but it does not come up on the list of connected printers in the tool. Is there a remedy for that?

I was not going to do that. I got the E 11 code but when I checked my pads barely any ink on them.. I only printed like 120 pages so far with my printer so its strange I got this code.. anyways, thank you again <3 I liked and gave you a follow to show my support back <3

The first time that you reset with the trial password did you also clean the pads or did you just clean the pads on the second time...........and when you do do this a second time you mentioned that the word tril won't work so what do we do then?.......Thank you !

You have just saved my life! I'm a teacher and was in the middle of printing work I need for my class. Next thing, the printer is saying, nope, that's it until further notice! (ink pad full notification) I was in a mad panic! The thing that I find so infuriating is there's absolutely no warning! One day it's working fine. Next day, it's not. You're a gem for sharing this information so concisely and simply! ❤

Wic reset is terrible. Pay per reset? No should be one time. Use the free open-source tool Epson print config and reset it to 0% for free every time.
