This tutorial was almost useless. About 14 minutes in and all I've been told is how to download a premade template. How about a tutorial that teaches you to actually design a real magazine cover? From scratch. This is a commercial for a paid service that stifles creativity and teaches you how to help the OP capitalize on sponsors. Nobody in the real world wants to hire a designer who is reliant on pre-built templates.

In real life, not a lot of us work in fashion or sports industries -- what about "trade" or Association magazines, where we are subjected to free photos -- not always the best quality or composition. How can we work with cluttered images?
