ОтветитьHi from Alicante in the south of Spain.. I bought your book (Kindle version) yesterday and just made your Caesar salad dressing for my big bowl of salad. It’s SOooo GOOD! Looking forward to restarting my weight loss with a different schedule of IF as I have plateaued now for a few months whilst doing 16:8 with lunch and dinner. ОтветитьOne of the parts of low carb/IF that I like the most is that I don't have to worry about calories. Eat the right foods, don't eat very often, those are the only two variables. Granted, by only eating for a 1 to 1.5 hour window, that naturally limits the amount of calories I can eat, but if I haven't eaten for 23 hours I can get pretty darn close to a full days food in an hour. I never would have believed until I tried it, but I love the cycle of fasting and feasting. I like it much better than eating regularly. And considering I've lost all my bodyfat and it stays off naturally, I think my body agrees with me.

The first ones should be obvious.
The last one mentioned is not so obvious, and includes all commercially processed food in the grocery store.
I can have all the simple whole foods I put together, simply prepared, and intermittant fasting keeps my weight regulated naturally.
This keeps my weight in the good zone for me.
I have your book, highly recommended!
How does this effect a type2 diabetic?

ОтветитьCan you eat too few calories? I'm getting conflicting info.
I'm absolutely full with my 2 meals, and I don't get hungry until 16-18 hours later. I eat low carb (20-30 total grams per day), under 75 grams of fat, and try and eat about 90 grams of protein but oftentimes it's closer to 65.
Meat, certain veggies, a few berries per week, no sugar, no bread...but I struggle to get more than 1,000 calories in per day! Is that why I'm only losing .5-1 pound a week? Or is it related to my diabetes (controlled by diet) and I just have to be thankful for the small losses? I'm 191 pounds and have 50 more to go and in my 40s.

ОтветитьI remember when I first tried intermittent fasting for benefits other than losing weight, I ate whatever I wanted during my 6 hour time window. What's interesting is I even snacked between my 2 meals. I ended up eventually losing 20 pounds or more after a few months, which really surprised me since I wasn't even trying to lose weight. I was actually skeptical, but didn't care since I was doing it for other benefits anyway.
I didn't count a single calorie. It's definitely possible I just accidentally consumed less calories than my daily requirement, but I also did eat quite a bit during my meals, like I always do. I eventually did put the weight back on though sadly, even while I was still intermittently fasting.

ОтветитьBeen 16/8 fasting for over 6 months, normally have OMAD at weekends, hardly feel hunger, energy is good, but can overeat at dinner, which may have caused inconsistent in the results. Now I have to count calories to avoid overeat, see what happens. Thanks for your video (from a new subscriber)!

My situation is hard to eat much
Lately I was in low calories and my body stopped losing weight
When I know the right calories it starts to lose weight, but I feel I have to force my self to eat ,
so in fasting
if I eat less than my BMR what my body need to burn,
Is my body still burning fat and I will lose weight?
I found the answer thank you
I eat when I’m hungry ( real hunger)
& stop when I’m not hungry
I have been trying the 20/4 IT for the last three weeks and I have a very difficult time eating more than 1000 calories; in fact, I am quite full before that. Is it ok if I'm not hungry enough to stuff my face?

My question is this...what to do when you reach your weight loss goal? Is there a need to shift anything to maintain versus lose, or does the body naturally do this? ОтветитьBut if I naturally eat less with fasting, won't that lower my metabolic rate? So I will stop losing weight at some point, then I have to increase my fasting hours which means eating even less?
