Zaheer has achieved the void he wanted and became Neo Zaheer, and is so hyperfocused on Korra that he is defeatable as Neo Zaheer as opposed to normal Zaheer.

I swear, Legend of Kora hit TOO hard for a kid's show. Kaheer's loss and subsequent transformation hurts me.

Had Zaheer found a noncombative ally, like Varrick, he could have dismantled the earth kingdom without leaving a power vacuum.

This character could have groomed the various villages and cities to consider philosophies of small government and self reliance.

He had the muscle and vision, he just needed the brains and logistics.

This would have made Zaheer a bigger snowball from the previous villain, who actually used ideologically driven propaganda to incite a revolution against the bender hegemony.

But he wouldn't over shadow Kuvira, who could still reconquer the Earth kingdom. It just wouldn't be as easy, so the Earth kingdom's people can show the appropriate amount of resistance against Kuvira, who was just more of the same in terms of tyranny.

Zaheer is an arabic muslim name meaning "helpfull" in English....

The best air bender has shown so far in the series. I think he was even better than Aang.

The problem with Zaheer learning to fly is the same problem people have with Korra learning airbending. Its un-earned and treated as a power up. Its like you just gotta really want it and after you face the slightest resistance against getting it your gain full mastery. Its like if Zuko actually learned to bend lighting right after he climbed the mountain and started shouting.

I wish Korra wasn’t about 4 different villains, side villains are fine but I wish the main plot of the entire show was between Korra and Zaheer, and the red lotus, season 3 was basically a reverse Last Airbender Story, 4 powerful benders led by an Airbender, to complete an objective with the world against them. Zaheers arc felt the most important
