There's been lots who have lied about having cancer, Maddy Russo, Belle Gibson are 2 names but theres so so many out there. Its scary that people do this. There's innocent people who actually have cancer and need help qnd and supp😊

This is so sad and pathetic. My dad had stage 4 cancer. One of the drugs known to be helpful is funded, the others are not. I vividly remember thinking how I would fundraise for my parents if they needed it and how stressful it would be to have to give up their home for life saving treatment. So pathetic that people would make up a situation like this for personal gain. There are so many people in actual need. I bet that the people who donated will now feel skeptical if approached again by actual folks in need for help. Amanda is the ultimate trash human.

But is this really even close to as bad as oncologists who treat patients with deadly cancer treatments to fill a quota at the cancer center for cancers that should not be treated in the first place?

My two aunts died with cancer youngest was in her late 30s the other 60s and my dear big cousin he was and IS THE nicest person you will ever meet he got cancer a few years ago and had passed within a few months n he was only 40 yrs and we will never get to see him again but his miracle wee boy does not have his fav person now. This makes me sick to my stomach and feel so ashamed that there is people in the human race that does this. R.I.P to my family and to anyone who has had a loved one who had/has this dreadful disease. And to the people that has been left behind❤🤍🤎💛🖤

This makes me so mad. From someone who was diagnosed on 07/21/23 with cancer NHL . This story upsets me I go tomorrow for my 4th chemo treatment and having to deal with life as a mom and a wife and a full time worker and struggling just to keep the lights on. This woman is just cruel. Thank goodness she was discovered.

Everyone in the podcast said she’s so cute and bubbly and elfish, I hate those types and I guess feel vindicated for being suspicious of anyone described as “elfish.”

It's truly incredible the voodoo like manipulation these scammers perform on unsuspecting people who give them money, holidays and all sorts of things.

Mean while the likes of people in a similar position to me, living with a terrible illness can only rely our very nearest and deatest because while friends say "Let me help" when the moment comes you need their help, like your medicines picked up, they are no where to be found.

We should be allowed to see verified medical records from the people that share their illnesses online. Doctor patient confidentiality goes out the window when you tell a sad story of your diagnosis to the world in order to get money and attention

So is it not munchausen because she wasnt trying to trick the doctors?

My grandma died from lung cancer so mad rn anyone that fakes cancer is disgusting

My friends helped her, took care of her kids, brought meals....incredible!

This is common enough ! A high profile sports star here in Ireland was charged with this,he got loads of money scamming people pretending to have cancer

My nan had breast cancer stage 3 she died in 8 months 😢 worst pain ever seeing my nan going down each day and people like that to fake it its horrible to have people are like that disgusting people out there now going through cancer 😢

As a breast cancer survivor myself, it’s hard for me to understand why someone would want to pretend to have cancer. Cancer is about as serious as it gets, in terms of disease, and why enter into that arena if it’s not something you actually have? I think she was initially attracted to all of the attention she received. A cancer diagnosis is shocking and can be quite dramatic. I think she liked that she could be perceived as a “heroic” and vulnerable “fighter”. Kind, empathetic and generous people responded to her story and legitimately wanted to help. People react positively to anyone who conquers adversity. When she saw that her manipulations and machinations worked successfully, then she upped her game and decided to monetize it. Seems like the attention drew her in, and the lies and cash were just too enticing. If she’s engaged in manipulative behavior before this, then the scam she perpetrated was just more of the same. I feel sorry for her family and for the innocent people that she duped. Cancer patients and cancer survivors are particularly angered by her because we’ve often been through chemo, radiation, side effects, medications, surgery and recovery, and we know what that real struggle actually involves. It’s not easy, and Amanda chose to make a mockery of a difficult experience for her own perverse pleasure and gain.

Absolutely disgusting! I'm 33 and I've just had a tumor removed and went under a massive surgery!! I found out I had cancer luckily it was removed! The Truma I went through was horrific!! To hear someone has lied about having cancer is very disgusting and absolutely crazy!! If someone can lie about that they are definitely not safe to be on the streets. Terrible so bad!

Why would anyone fake that they had cancer. ?. How disrespectful towards all past & present cancer patient's, their friends and family.

Cool video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her.

It’s not impossible…it’s like Munchausen Syndrome…even parents do it to their kids deliberately to seek attention (by proxy)…e.g Dee Dee Blanchard is a famous case..we have had several similar cases in Australia…these people are psychologically sick who do this.
