Texture push and caching mechanisms only works on dx9 and 10 games and It's less useful when you're trying to use it on dx11 and 12 games. One of the useful dx9 and dx10 setting is PS_SURFACE_PLACEMENT_ALLOW which allows you to place Video objects into shared memory(when you have low vram). It does well with any dx9 and 10 games but It's nearly useless on dx11 and up. One settings that works for all APi is fps limiter.

bro i hope you answer , so i am on a gaming laptop Lenovo legion 5 3060rtx amd 5, using an external monitor 144 fps that supports free sync premium and sth called OD, and i play mainly apex , and recently been having a big fps drop like 60-70 sometimes 40 , searched a lot but couldn't find a solution , also i want to know if i turn off that free sync and force g-sync like in the video , will i get better fps ? like stable one , cuz all i care about is the fps when playing

idk man, i have rtx 3060ti, when i tweaked some of these settings like g sync or variable refresh rate to force off (even tho i am not using them) i started getting random BSODs, After reverting back those settings to nvidia recommended settings i'm all good now no more BSODs.

hey so I just did these changes and now when playing mw3 my GPU is only using 1% of its resources in task manager is this normal? My frame rate seems stable I just have never seen the GPU usage so low.
