Hi Crimson Tech. Have you had any Battery Health problems on your G14? I've been using mine for a week now and its dropped 2% in battery health already according to ghelper. Ive been charging to 80% but its still dropping very fast :(

I have that exact DELL from hell that crashed after ONE POWER SURGE. I think it just needs a new power supply because it turned on but wouldn't do anything else. Also the POS power cord with a big ass power adapter (the fuck?) didn't light up any more. I was hoping to turn it into a Linux machine for my parents. Everything else seems to be fine.

Personally, I would have replaced the motherboard, you could get a lga1151 motherboard for 35 - 40 dollars used, which would use standard power and front panel connectors.

The rgb thingy is a setting in bios, i had same issue but i went in bios turned something off and rgb stopped

I actually tried doing something similar with an Ideacentre tower from the Haswell era. Even more standard layout for the psu and mb with the front panel header being a real pain.

Bro I did this an I took a Dell duplex 5040 and Upgraded it with a RX 570 8 GB version And added some DDR for RAM and swapped the motherboard so it was compatible with DDR four and this is the best PC I have ever made for under $150. I just bought a used RX 570 off Facebook marketplace and it was pretty good.

I did something similar with a hand-me-down pc from my brother it's a dell xps 8300 with i5 2320 and I swapped it to a new case and it didn't require any adapters and i put a GTX 1060 in it cause the powersuply that was in it was already beefy enough to support it

when u said that lenovo shouldnt be like dell... hp elitedesk USES THE CASE TO SCREW IN THE COOLER.

NOTE Depending on where you live it's probably gonna be 2x cheaper to build the pc on your own. So before ordering the parts or picking up an old optiplex or thinkcentre I suggest going to your local pc store to see if things are cheaper.







(edit) If you are using this tutorial to build your own pc I highly suggest getting a modular psu so you can store the cables you don't need so your pc looks abit better.

thank you so much i did this with my own pc with a gtx 1650 montech 100 air lite and it worked so good i even got slightly better performance because of the airflow
