Star Blazers (intro | english) 1979 a.k.a. Space Battleship Yamato

OMG I mean great galaxies, are used to watch this cartoon 40 years ago when Philadelphia’s WTAF 29 used to air this cartoon every weekday afternoons between 2 o’clock and 3 o’clock in the afternoon during the summertime because I remember that spaceship called the Yomata which is shaped like a battleship from the 1940s on in drifting or we could say sailing through space defending the galaxies against forces of evil in space because I remember watching that cartoon series 40 years ago and that was pretty cool.

I'd run home from school to catch an episode of this, so exciting!!

Is this the one that had a daily countdown? It looks like it.. I was very young when I saw this.

This show must have been on in early afternoon when I was a kid because the only time I can recall watching it was during summer vacations.
Funny how a silly cartoon intro can bring back such strong memories of being a kid. For a minute and a half I felt like I was 8 again

I loved watching this as a kid! Seeing it again brings back many happy memories.

The sound bites are the best! And is it just me or should Buckethead re-work this song into his show?

They weren't kidding when they say space battleship yamato has 82 shade of grey. It really do looks dope compared to other anime of the same year
