Riding the World’s Fastest Maglev Train in Japan

Those armrests look terribly uncomfortable. They should have two full armrests for each seat so passengers can sit comfortably. I expected more from the interior of this train. The interior is honestly disappointing. Even the Nozomi had a more comfortable interior, this looks like a big step down in comfort. Passagers are squeezed in there just about as badly as the horribly uncomfortable economy seats of a plane.

The Japanese government have always been forward thinkers and rails innovators. Impressive technology that might just change the world if it gets exported and deployed correctly. The fact they started in 1962 shows great vision and the first generation shinkansen were only 3 years behind opening. I wonder if more people will consider living in Osaka once it's built instead of being jammed into Tokyo.
