In an age when there are so few great voices and so many recent lost, Luther reminds us of what greatness sounds like. A voice that wraps one in the joy of love, passion, and hope. He is gone, but his voice will always be with us taking us beyond the commodified crap and spectacle to that place where music is central to who we are and are hoping to be with others.

That’s the sweetest thing. It has been mine and husband’s song since 1987 when we met. After 34 yrs of marriage, things are coming to end. We both made mistakes and hurt each other badly over the years. I can’t move on without him so I’m ending it tonight. I wish you all the best and hope things work out

I know that this has been said many and many times before, but this is the song that I sang to my wife while we were dancing as husband and wife back in 2007 and we still dance to it in the kitchen from time to time. We have both been unfaithful to each other, we have both had our fights and arguments, but we're both all about each other and we've both learned from the mistakes that we've made along the way. I wasn't supposed to live past my 16th birthday due to cancer, so when I met this girl on January 22nd, of 2002, I knew that she was special. We were married on April 21st, 2007 and we have two sons together who are amazing kids. We both could've left each other when we had doubts about our love for each other, but we both knew that we couldn't live without each other, and I still feel the same way to this day. She's my heart and we share the same breaths. We are one, and will be Always and Forever. Thank you Luther for making the absolutely perfect song to signify our bond. It was sure hard for me to fill your shoes trying to sing this song in front of 225 people that were at my reception...😂😂😂 I gave it my all though and it had many friends and family dancing and in tears.

Luther had a unique sound BUT should NEVER EVER touch this classic. The original Heatwave version is timeless - Johnny Wilder on lead vocals showcased his INSANE FALSETTO mastery all over that track. Sadly, Luther's REALLY is a poor man's version
