I'm not a dog person, but I didn't see much to worry about with them.

The owner wasn't fighting to keep hold of them and even when he did let go, they didn't really attack.

What this guy has done is make things worse for pitbulls and genuine good dog owners that love the breed to keep pitbulls in London. The breed isn't naturally vicious. They're called nanny dogs for a reason. This case is just bad parenting.
And we don't even know for sure if the woman was attacked. It just could've been someone prejudiced and simply called the police because he had pibulls. The guy could've just been angry police were called because of his dogs breed. The woman could very well be lying and a Karen.

Yet drug dealers are free to walk around with aggressive dog's but they know the law and the police won't touch them! I get there was a report of someone being attacked but what happened to the police being able to defuse a situation and talk people down? It's worrying when firearms officers are involved as they are just taught to be overtly aggressive, which I understand, just not in every single situation! Yes the guy didn't help the situation but he's homeless and could be drunk or unstable, he releases the leash but the dog's don't attack the officers, they are just excited and feeding off the energy!

Letting your dogs move towards the police in an aggressive away put the dogs in this unfortunate position.
