Yes more simple setup just buy 8 16mm 16 80mm that all u need then few primes
ОтветитьWell said ! brands and companies definitely do not deserve people's loyalty. Human loyalty should be reserved for other actual people :)
ОтветитьBunch of bullshit lol
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you for your honesty and wise analysis.
I recently bought a Canon R6 mk 2 after owning Canon DSLRs for 15 years. The whole package is too big, I can't really just take casual photos. So I'm interested in Fujifilm, because of the recipes, the compact size & affordable lenses (including Sigma).
I don’t agree fully with the statement of editing any raw file to any color vibe you want. There is a truth in it, you somehow can, but for example; I have been using a Sony the last 3 years, I used canon for 5 years before that. Editing sony images, to get the vibe and colors I used to get on my canon, is a very annoying process that kills my flow many times, and by killing my flow I just loose focus and inspiration. Editing is for me flowing, I can’t edit photos well to late at night for example when my brain is tired, I love editing with my first cup of coffe. So yes it affects if the brands color system if more “off”. Sony has a cold vibe which I really don’t like. That’s why I’m now going to try my first Fuji, im scared of the autofocus lost, but I’m so bored using Sony.
ОтветитьRewatching this now in 2023 as i consider a shift from my main camera system being FF, back to APSC. All good advice to keep in mind. Thanks
ОтветитьWowsers, haven't you changed your tune.
Ответитьwhen ever other camera company leaves from my country and let distributors take over the market Fujifilm and their Turkish workers worked hard and make that they stay and sell the products directly from japan and make the prices as low as USA prices. I also should say I do not own a Fujifilm camera and I did get my cameras for astrophotography and fujifilm does not produce good cameras for AP but I am really considering to buy my next general purpose camera from fuji there are alot of reason to get one.
ОтветитьI choose Fuji digital because I have a long history shooting Fuji cameras.
My first Fuji camera was a Fujica ST705 35mm film SLR with the following
Fujinon M42 screw-mount lenses:
28mm f/3.5
50mm f/1.4
135mm f/3.5
The Fuji GW670 III 6x7cm medium format rangefinder with fixed 90mm f/3.5 normal lens was my 2nd Fuji camera.
The Fuji GSW690 III 6x9cm medium format rangefinder with fixed 65mm f/5.6 wide-angle lens was my 3rd Fuji camera.
The Fuji S5 Pro was my first digital SLR camera. The main feature I liked about this camera was that it was compatible with my large inventory of Nikon F-mount lenses.
The Fuji X-Pro1 mirrorless was my next digital camera. Even though I could use and adapter to mount my Nikon lenses on this camera, I preferred to use the following auto-focus Fujinon lenses:
16mm f/1.4
23mm f/1.4
56mm f/1.2
16-55mm f/2.8
50-140mm f/2.8
The Fuji X-Pro2 graphite mirrorless was my last digital camera. This camera came with a 23mm f/2 graphite lens.
Started with Nikon. Loved the results, but didnt care so much for the size and look of their cameras. Decided to give Fuji a try given the more compact and old school look/feel. Haven’t gone back.
ОтветитьI love Fujifilm. It’s what I use most. And I was agreeing with everything you were saying 100%. But it got to a point where I said: If he does that thing with his fingers just one more time…I swear. If he does that air quote thing with his fingers just ONE MORE f#&*!n time! I’m gonna have to go. Well it didn’t take long…I was able to watch it for about 5 more seconds, and of course you did it again. I looked to see how far along I was in the video, and it was just before the halfway mark I’d say. I had to go. I didn’t give you a thumbs down or anything. But I just couldn’t take it anymore, so that’s as far as I got.
ОтветитьInteresting and enlightening video which reinforces my own love of Fuji as a brand.
ОтветитьAnd he just switched back to Canon
ОтветитьTBH it's true what you said about Canon and Sony. I started my photography journey very recently, and my first thought was to buy either Canon or Sony without any knowledge of camera. But then I started researching and came to know Fuji also makes digital cameras and after extensive research now I have no doubt Fuji gives one of the best budget-friendly camera ecosystems plus they opened X mount. So, now if I suggest anyone who is starting out I will ask them to go for Fujifilm.
ОтветитьStarted on Sony, and got a bunch of Olympus film cameras. After long enough I jumped to the XT3 and its film emulations. Not to mention the absolute beauty and old school feel. I really started preferring the feel of my 1974 OM1 and the Fuji is the only camera at a logical price that can bring you a similar work flow to shooting when using JPEG emulations and focusing more on the composition rather than lazy pray and spray. Crafted incredibly.
ОтветитьIn the spirit of “the enemy of art is the absence of limitations” and “The more constraints one imposes, the more one frees one's self of the chains that shackle the spirit.”: as a viewer who primarily watches your analog and not Fuji videos (as I have little interest in Fuji) and wishes you the most success, I think you should make videos that cater to a wider audience. Maybe some visual comparative tasting for the tortured minds of the canon captives
ОтветитьMy last film camera was a Contax G1 with 3 Zeiss primes. Before that I was an Olympus OM guy. I sold so many of them in one month Olympus gave me an OM-2 with my name engraved in gold on the top plate.
Then…something happened. Cameras started looking like the flying saucer from the movie, “The Day the Earth Stood Still.” I had to face it that my attachment to the experience and aesthetic of the camera itself was a large part of my photo fetish. Consequently, photography faded away with the other past hobbies.
Then I first saw an X-E1 and bought it with an 18-55. My love of photography was revived. I didn’t get an X-Pro1 but opted for a SONY RX-1 with an angling EVF attachment. Great camera…until…the X-Pro2. Here was my G1 but digital.
I went nuts and at one time or another had every Fuji camera and most of the lenses as soon as they came out. Sometimes more than once. I’ve owned an X100T, F and V. I still like the design of the F better but gave it to my son as an excuse to get the V because of the redesigned lens. It’s more German Industrial minimalist, but it is my favorite camera of all time and I have it in my will to be buried with it around my cold dead neck.
I’m down to my V and an X-T4 for when the light is low and my hands are not quite as steady. Got rid of all the zooms and now only have a 56f1.2, 16F2.8, 23F2 and 35F1.4 which may become the only surviver (I got some freak factory defect in that is seems fast and is actually quiet. Weird. Don’t tell anyone.)
Thanks Fuji for coming out with the X-T5 because I DO NOT want to deal with 42meg files and you’ve saved me a lot of money. Now, if Fuji cleans up the design of an X-Pro4 along the lines of the X100V I MIGHT get one; but I WILL NOT buy a wavy looking Titanium body with that dial deck angle that makes my camera look like Gumby. Temp me, Fuji.
Give me the X100V’s bigger brother with interchangeable lens options. You might even consider making a silver version that actually matches the f2 silver Fujicron lenses and a hot shoe too. WHAT A CONCEPT and one that motivated the designers of the V.
X-Pro division: consider offering the VEEP an early retirement. After the disaster of the Pro3 maybe it’s time for new blood. Make the X-Pro4 form follow function. Shamelessly ripping off Leica M’s at a 1/5 the price is actually a GOOD THING and worked well for the V.
I don’t hit my cameras with hammers, don’t scratch them with metal objects and don’t carry around denatured alcohol to clean them. Suck it up, admit you messed up and do the right thing.
Oh, did I mention bringing back the dual mag on the OVF? Yeah, that’s also a deal breaker. I hate it when manufacturers cut production costs and then try to tell me it’s an upgrade.
Congratulations if you read this far. Your reward is in the mail.
excellent topic.. Fujifilm has been exceptional is so many ways.. I was a die hard Nikon fan.. but eventually moved to Fujifilm.. XT-1, XT-3, XT-20.. but i think the most amazing thing about the fujifilm system are the lenses.. I was comparing a 100% plastic Nikon lens to a fujifilm metal prime lens.. literally changed my mind on the spot! sold all my nikon gear.. and been enjoying exploring the fujifilm family of cameras and lenses... zero regrets!
ОтветитьTHANKYOU...
ОтветитьI bought the XT5 after many years of using the Nikon system. I was attracted to the compactness, exterior controls, and film simulations. The lenses are cheaper. I like to just grab it and go.
ОтветитьSubscribed after watching this video🙏🏻 Love how you articulate yourself.
ОтветитьI just ordered a Fuji, I've been shooting Sony professionally for about 5 years looking forward to something that will slow me down
ОтветитьWhat a quote to start a video on.
I instantly became a fan of yours. subbed
Hey guys can anyone say can go for fuji x s10 , than the cannon etc, 4k camera's?
ОтветитьFuji is the sleeping giant!
ОтветитьWhat mic are you using ?
ОтветитьA Camera with a SOUL, that can deeply move their fans 👏 An excellent talk Andrew 👍 pleasure watching it !!!!
ОтветитьI havent even gotten my first real camera yet and I'm already drooling over these fuji's.
ОтветитьMy wife was a professional photographer, she shot stills for the phone company for their phone books (Nowadays, kids would say: "what is a phone book?") All of her equipment was Nikon---I was just an amateur, and all of my equipment was Fujifilm ! I would go with her on various occasions and take pictures of the same subjects. Invariably, she would usually use my pictures, as they were better---better in sharpness, better in contrast and color: better overall. Ever since, I have been sold on Fuji equipment.
ОтветитьGreat video. I wonder for 4k video how many stops of dynamic range it gets ? Above 13 stops?
ОтветитьI'm not a photographer but I fell in love with the Fujifilm when I tried instore in Malaysia and the quality was amazing. My family always owned a Canon DSLR but it's annoying always bringing the big bag it was in, as there was a bigger lens there. I told to myself getting at least the X-A7 or X-T200 would be a dream as I like taking photos but I don't know to take them well
ОтветитьSince, as you inform, Fuji listens to your suggestions and implements them, I have one that you should pass along. They should concentrate on bringing their AF up to speed with the likes of the Canon R6 rather than expending R&D and money on a 40mp sensor. Nobody who bought a Fuji XT or X Pro did so because a high resolution sensor was high on the list of priorities (that’s why Fuji also has the GFX series, for those who need very high resolution). On the other hand, virtually everyone who has switched from Fuji to Canon, Nikon or Sony did so because of the far superior AF in the latter systems. The one gripe every Fuji shooter I know has is not 26mp but sub-par AF. I can’t tell you how many times I have trashed otherwise magnificent, unrepeatable, images because of fuzzy eyes or faces but irrelevantly sharp shoes or clothes. I never had such frustrating failures with my ancient canon 5D Mark III, and the R6 I hear is light years ahead of that. I bought an XT-3 because I wanted that analog experience I had with my beloved Nikon Photomic FTn that made me feel that I was participating in the image-making process. That camera, however, had a real manual optical focusing system that gave me precise focusing 100% of the time. But Mirrorless digital cameras force you to rely upon AF 100% of the time. And the “manual” focusing is merely a simulated one. I can’t switch to true manual on my Fuji and turn a real focusing ring on the lens and focus precisely or zone focus with an optical split image rangefinder viewfinder. So AF needs to be vastly improved if Fuji doesn’t want defections to Canon or Nikon. My dream would be if Fuji made its lenses with the same clutch focusing ring as in the 16/ 1.4 but have it engage a real optical focusing mechanism in the lens, which can be paired with a new X Pro that has a real optical rangefinder like the Leica M11, but switchable to EVF. I see no technical impediments to doing so. But I would be perfectly content if they only brought their AF technology up to date. The analog experience of the Fuji quickly loses its charm if half your images are not keepers. The only meaningfully relevant issue I have with my XT-3 is far too many failed shots that wouldn’t look good even as 8x10 prints, not tack sharp ones that won’t produce 40x60s with as much detail as Canon R5 images.
ОтветитьGreat vid. Subscribed. Love my Fuji Cameras!!
ОтветитьAgree 100% coming from sony a7r4 great camera that does all specs said BUT felt that Sony was in the enemy team on on my team . I was to test the Xt4 and wow !!!! Fuji is how I am !!!!!
ОтветитьRecently purchased an X-T4 and a 50mm F2 prime with the idea of trying out Fuji by myself. I know I know, not the cheapest body to dive in a new system, but my Lumix G9 and it's 4 lenses haven't left the camera bag since... The X-T4 just FEELS right, it does satisfy a very human aspect of photography.
ОтветитьWhich fuzifilm camera is best for vlogging and photography ???
Ответитьvery paradoxical, emotional bonds behind brands like are bad but the tools are great because the process is important, sound the same to me, you just like fuji over sony and another brand, that's all. The camera is just a piece of plastic, if you can't make that shot, youère just a collector or money waster. this channel doesn't offer any value
ОтветитьOn shooting cooking videos, could you make Canon colors with a little editing on Fuji? Thinking of buying either m50 or xt200.
ОтветитьI shoot videos and photos. I bought xf10 over gr3 because it gives better video quality but FHD wasn’t enough so I bought x100v but then it overheated too often, too soon. I sold them all and got xs10 with 27mm, 80mm. I never own expensive camera before but somehow I didn’t even consider other brand during the process. Even though I had to buy multiple camera and sold in a week, I always loved the footages and I knew the quality was just what I needed.
Ответитьgreat. Thank you
Ответитьwow you are really attached to Fuji. Your emotions came out
ОтветитьI've got a Canon EOS R - and whilst it's a great camera - I just don't love it - can't really explain why I don't. Perhaps it's my age (62) that I've been drawn to the Fuji X-T3 as it takes me back to my early years shooting film cameras with dials to set ISO and speed - and aperture rings on the lenses - it just draws me to it like a moth to a flame. I hope that I don't regret it - but I'm going to trade my EOS R and plethora of lenses for an X-T3 and some decent Fuji glass. Keeping my fingers crossed - lol.
Ответитьhey, what does this means: Note: If your account receives any ad activity or earnings within the next 30 days, your account will not be deactivated and will remain active. ?
Ответитьwow, grant intro and personal statement! Fuji does make an excellent product where that loyalty feels different in a way though huh?
ОтветитьMy current issue is how am I going to sell $7k worth of Sony gear to make the switch? And at this point I really want to switch. I just feel like I was pressured into Sony. As a wedding photographer, I feel like my Art can be better on Fuji, let alone the weight reduction could be huge for me.
ОтветитьI started with canon dslr back then, switched to nikon full frame, tried olympus (for secondary set-up, mostly for quick trips), sold everything to get into fuji completely. Why? Fullframe bodies and lenses make u reluctant to shoot outside. Microfourthird systems are just too shallow and incapable. Fuji just hit the sweet spot! Fairly compact systems, image quality comparable to full frame equivalent (with fuji higher end lenses), and most importantly the feel and look of the cameras, certainly the most artistic photography gears! The other brands are just homogeneous, boring, competing over n over just for faster AF n FPS. So predictable man. This fuji system? 0% mainstream! It has a taste of its own! Its like the perspective of an artist amid a bunch of salespeople! Have i ever thought to switch to other system? Yes. Just this evening I was almost sold to Sony Full frame system, due to their discounts and the imagination of having a full frame again with fairly similar budget, tempting me alots. But thanks Andrew, after watching this, you really made me realise again what I really need and like in photography. Fuji still has the place in my heart!
ОтветитьHi, I hear what you say. Thanks. I’m turn between Fuji X-T3 (or other Fuji’s) and Canon M6ii for a beginner who is interested mainly in taking photos of family members in home and outside.. Looking for ease of use and nice sharp pics. And not to grow in the field of “being a photographer” .. thanks in advance.
ОтветитьI stopped doing street photography about 10 years ago and sold all of my Leica stuff and bought a Panasonic GF1 with 20mm f.17 lens. It eliminated many hours post-processing but was never up to the Leica lens standard. After getting enthusiasm back again to walk the streets, I have just set my sights on the Fuji X100V.
