New to Gopro but i like this hero 8 and think i am going to purchase. So you can edit the video you take from your phone? Cut, speed up, slow down, slow motion?

I like mine. Way more fun factor than a APS-C mirrorless, though both have their uses.

Liked the idea that the mic helps to focus-on and clarify the voice of the camera-operator, but the sound of the waterfall came-through the video just enough to add to the video-experience, without drowning-out the operator. Best of two worlds.

The only thing i want to know about Go Pro is, Can i charged it and leave it for 3 months, will it still be charged? This was my biggest disapontment with my hero3 +

Want my advice......get your self a cheap 7 black and you wont miss out on anything. I am waiting for H7 to drop and will grab another.

Gopro 8 IMO is just a hero 7 black with a MAJOR firmware upgrade. cmon, its still uses the same GP1 chip. Its the same camera. I would also assume there is a Hero 7 firmware update at gopro HQ which upgrades the 7 to exactly the same performance. Will it ever surface.....lol...yeah right.

Sorry Digital Trends, this is a very on the surface OVERVIEW that doesn't even look at the video and photo quality of the camera, which are THE REASONS WHY PEOPLE BUY CAMERAS.

gopro lost my business when I bought a hero 7 black but couldn't find an external mic adapter ANYWHERE. when I do upgrade, I plan to invest in a different brand.

What happened to the "pre-marketed" 480 fps slow motion?

Been watching a few of you and all i can say is that the images you are showing when in action are still a big amount of garbage. Look at those trees below you as they are like jumping as it uses to be in shade areas. I would prefer not so many new features but yes great quality images as unfortunately it is not happening. Can't see any difference for better on image quality and that is what i am looking for. Totally disappointed

they really fucked up with the no replaceable front lens and no ND filter options with some sort of frame especially for ppl in the FPV world. fucking gopro

Last gopro i bought was a hero 4+ like literally years ago, i never used it because of how jittery the video was for what i was producing. This looks like a super solid action cam now, very impressive.

every thing new in GoPro 8 could have been done with an upgrade software - because every thing remained the same I mean nothing so special to change number from 7 to 8 .GoPro lost the very chance to become the queen again - and they wanted it quite because they didn't make the real improvement custmers wanted like changing the sensor with a new one and over all the external mic option with a 3,5 mm hole ready made on the camera it'self and not with a cage to buy a part - it would have been so easy to make us happy - and the fact that it is quiet impossible to put a denser filter in front of the lens will make run away 20 per cent of potential custmer because plenty of us want cinematic footage mood - With no option ready made on the camera it'self for an esternal mic it makes no happy all people that go with motorcycles because we like to talk while running and not listening the motor engine noise with the ear while recording voice and running .I'm sure you will erase this comment of mine but remenber the 446 thumb up is mine and I subscribed to your channel because your review was very good . Yes I know I'm pretty aware that if you buy the accessory I mean the cage you can have the option to use an external mic but you have to buy it apart and it will not be available until 2020 and we have to pay extra money for have it and without this cage not on the market yet now it is impossible to use an external mic by the usb port while it was possible with the GoPro 7 so this is a step back and not an improvement . it looks like their engeeners wanted this poor upgrade to make us arrive to buy the GoPro 9 in the future but GoPro needs fresh money now and not in the future .
