Truly beautiful composition, Frank.
ОтветитьWow, that's so cool of you. I live in a third world country so having anyone play my music for real would be awesome (there is basically just 1 orchestra in this country, and I've never been able to go see it due to price, time and a bad back). But Noteperformer will do for now. I just hope one day I can make a piece worth playing, haha...
ОтветитьI too also made my first peice!!!
ОтветитьActually I'm shocked of how reminiscent of Dashkevich this is, despite absolutely unintentionally
ОтветитьDavid role seems that of an angel, here to help achieving beauty and happiness.
We just don't see his wings.
This couple is adorable! I hope they grow old.
ОтветитьNot my kind of music, but it was awesome to hear all the tips and have some insight into your thinking and decision making process. Great video!
ОтветитьI enjoyed watching this video as I am a beginner composer myself. I'd love to see more of these videos as this video was very enlightening to me
ОтветитьSplendid video! Composer needs own peace to find and develop his ideas but at its best he has someone like here, who gives alternatives and helps to listen more objectively.
This applies regardless the composer is beginner or maestro.
How to reinvent Canon in D
Ответитьnot that anyone cares, but frank and i are so alike!! i’m going into astronomy and am trying to compose my first piece!! i guess i’m just a younger version of him lol
idk i just thought hearing his backstory was rlly exciting
Johann Pachelbel ripoff
ОтветитьSound like an anime soundtrack
ОтветитьMieke... Kinda looks like Jacqueline du Pre.....
Ответитьboth of you shared 2 things, a great sense of humor and a very big passion for music!
Frank if you see this, Ich habe Ihr Stück sehr genossen, ehrlich gesagt, sehr schöne Arbeit.
Love from a Swedish bass trombonist/intermediate composer!
👏
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful person.
ОтветитьWhat a brilliant video concept. Saved in my reference playlist. I intend to apply exactly all of these in my next composition.
Ответить🚨New Subscriber Alert! Amazing video Guys, Thank You
ОтветитьThanks.
ОтветитьThis is one of the most wholesome videos I've seen in ages! Also I couldn't resist tearing up hearing the end result; it's a very moving piece.
ОтветитьMan, if it were possible, I'd love for you to take one of my orchestral pieces of music, and see what you would do with it. I enjoyed that fact that instead of pointing out what was wrong, you made some actually good contrusctive calls and feedback and then explained the changes in a way that was educational. It takes a lot of real teaching skill to give feedback that isn't harmful or discouraging but rather explains the options that are possible from the original idea. Well done and Thank you for the video! I hope we cross paths one day to discuss music! :D
ОтветитьReally great video! What a difference the suggestions made. Love the reworked version.
ОтветитьThis is so amazing! I recognize many of the problems I experience myself and how to solve them, in which I can still learn a lot. I find it very brave from Frank to give his masterpiece away for correction/improvement. And I must say that you really took it to a higher level and still kept its spirit. Wonderful! Thank you for your work, Frank and David!
ОтветитьMy first piece was
" She dances in the Wind "
Google say
jt productions
"She dances in the Wind " or
" Zappa Beefheart "
Honest opinion: The melody is nice, but the arrangements are sloppy, and the reworked version sounded just a little better, but not substantially. Still too messy for my taste.
ОтветитьSo interesting in so many ways and so much learnt in such a short time. All very talented and humble. Fantastic video.
ОтветитьWow! Frank is so lucky and I'm so happy to see it played.
I'm inspired by this! I'll try composing too it must be really tough though!
Excellent video! Super useful....
ОтветитьI didn't even know bassoons can go ghat high. The highest bassoon solo I've ever heard is stravinsky's and maybe ravels piano concerto, but they are used with French bassoons, which are easier to play high
Ответитьloved it, that Bassoon solo gave me little chills in the back, it blended super well in the composition. Even the first version was great. Keep up the work Frank ;)
ОтветитьLove grows and fades. 😂 i just randomly click notes and if they sounds good then its good.
ОтветитьAbsolutely beautiful on all levels.
ОтветитьIt sounds like the ending music from the movie Spirited Away
ОтветитьSo essentially David Bruce did what Mozart did to Salieri's March of Welcome, only that this wasn't a show-off or mean-spirited, but wholesome and educational.
ОтветитьNecesita aprender la tecnica...se puede sacar mucho más provecho de un cuarteto de vientos...su orquestacaion está bastante mal equilibrada, sin contrapunto, sin nada...todo es estudiar y aprender..
ОтветитьOboe written too much in the low register, the low register is very strident and with too much presence, flute well written (I would have mixed the melody with oboe on some occasions for more variety) the clarinet very static in rhythm most of the time, and the bassoon just down, that's fine but it can be moved more rhythmically to give variety.
ОтветитьI can't think of a sweeter gift to give an aspiring composer
ОтветитьWow! What a wonderful lesson in composing. It can so be applied to teaching creative writing too.
ОтветитьVery instructive!! ....and nice to know romance ain't dead in the Netherlands.
It should be mandatory for guys to write a song for their loved ones before marriage. The world would be a better place.....
No I’m deaf
ОтветитьShe looks like skyler white
Ответитьthe original rendition sounds kinda medieval
ОтветитьHow wonderful! This video and all the work that went into it puts a smile on my face and a spark of joy in my heart. It seems silly but the purity of this whole endeavor just makes me feel good. Fantastic stuff.
ОтветитьFrank's original melody at the beginning kinda sounded like 'always with me' from spirited away.
ОтветитьSoothing
ОтветитьI'm impressed..... NOT
