It’s crazy, how unassuming your A90 looks, but went 7.90’s. Absolutely incredible!
ОтветитьGood looking 1G in the background.
Ответить500 rpm quicker spool will win you the street race over the top end power!
ОтветитьWhy aren't these turbo's listed on their website ?
ОтветитьAmazing results. Purpose built drag cars are cool but man a responsive street car that makes the power as well is irreplaceable. Awesome results!
ОтветитьRaise your bar Napier's
ОтветитьRemapping pressure timing put nitromethane fuel pump injectors
ОтветитьAt 26 degrees advanced timing btdc
ОтветитьTurbo testing without emap v map. Wtf
Ответить800whp out of a 7275 is a waste of a 7275, i made almost 1400awhp with the 7275 on my g42 on awd dyno. i had a 6466 before the 7275 and its not even comparable. the 7275 only spools 500 rpm later and moves 500+ more whp worth of air. straight gate wired to the factory ewg im at full boost by 4700 rpm. the 6466 was more fun on the street, until almost every bolt on supercharged v8 drives pased you, then you stick a 6870 or a 7275 because you want to be the fastest on the big end where it counts. - my life story
ОтветитьPretty worthless comparison, the 72mm was just improperly sized for your goal. You could have just went to a smaller turbo in general, has nothing to do with switching to apex.
ОтветитьJust putting it out there but the 65 omega is a smaller turbo and makes 900whp to 1000whp constantly on this platform. Also it’s a quarter of the price. My ? Is are you saying the car went 7.90s with less then 900whp?
ОтветитьPeople waking up to these APEX turbos. Curious to know what the back pressure difference was between the 2?
ОтветитьVery good results, it isn't really any different than what you would see if you compared a late 80s early 90s turbo four with todays four cylinder cars. Just more streetable performance. Interstingly, which is probably a side effect of the N/A engines overall volume of per per liter, the smaller turbo also made the same power at the top with the highest boost level. Even if you were to lose 15-30 HP at the top 500RPM, but gained it 500RPM lower through mid, the smaller turbo makes for a faster and more responsive car.
With a race car, it might be a good idea to have the larger turbo, but that smaller turbo is just a better design than the older but larger turbo, not to mention, its race legal!
You run apex on red demon also? What size if you can say? And is it more reliable then what you were running before ?
ОтветитьTry Xona rotor turbo I heard they spool fast also
ОтветитьThere is absolutely zero difference in mass flow and choke between a hub design and hub-less. The hub-less is impossible to be VSR balanced. If there was a different - they would be showing it in a compressor performance map to prove it works.
ОтветитьNeeds cams badly. Give it some 282s
ОтветитьMore Boostin content! Love it!
ОтветитьNice work! I’ve been waiting for an established shop to do a comparison test with one of these Apex turbos. Not a ton of info out there yet so this was great to see!
ОтветитьThese kinds of turbo comparisons are somewhat pointless without logging drive pressure.
ОтветитьTell us more about this comparison. Back pressure data, rear housing swaps etc. What you’re demonstrating can break the internet with us turbo guys, I mean, 500 rpm is monstrous, something we struggle to get stroking our engines. We need more comparison data! More boos, less boost! Most of all ex-housing swaps.
I’m currently running 7675gen2 1.28AR and need 39psi to make 1000wheel (rb28skyline)
admitting I got excited when I saw all 4 wheels turning on the dyno. We need someone to make AWD Supra
ОтветитьWell atleast i know where my turbo i bought from you came from hope it works as well on the 2g
ОтветитьThis guy. Bro got skills
ОтветитьWhat kind of power were you running to 7.90's?
ОтветитьI thought the mk5s were rwd? This one has all 4 tires spinning on the dyno. What gives??
ОтветитьDo you guys still use PTE turbos?
ОтветитьA link to the actual turbo used from Apex would make things alot easier. Thanks
