I was watching the old matches of 18-20 years old Nadal and I noticed that his gameplay was mostly limited to baseline rallies. He was accurate but very restricted in his approach to the game. Infact barring Federer all other top players of that time were hard hitters. But these young players like Alcaraz, sinner play all the shots that is available in the tennis book and making the sport more interesting to watch for a viewer.

A star was born! Alcaraz is number one and the future GOAT. Watching him playing tennis is 🤯🤯.
Hope the best for him and no injuries.
After the Fednadnole era, it was unbelievable to find a new great champion in the young generation. But we got it. Awesome

Lui è semplicemente mostruoso .....un talento mai visto ....forza , classe ,eleganza ,potenza e grazia in ogni suo colpo.
Per me è destinato a diventare il più forte tennista mai visto , se la condizione fisica gli regge.

Is he the most complete player ever? He's got Rafa's spirit and fitness; Nole's consistency, accuracy and mental strength; and Roger's aggressive and beautiful game.

And now he is protecting his serve so he isn’t having to do these insane points just to stay in the match and is instead doing them to get the lead.

This is why we're all dragging our heels right now. No Carlos for 3 months is a meaningless existence for us tennis fans. He's back on clay in Feb, can't wait!!!!!

He maybe can't go as far as the big 3, he has some obviously wackiness that the big 3 don't have.

I have seen only three players do what this one kid does - Skill, Resilience, and Precision: Roger, Rafa, and Novak. He's got these all. I hope he becomes one of the greatest that the sport has ever seen.

The shots he shouldn’t be getting, he not only gets to the ball but he hits a great shot. It’s like hard shots are better for him

Five months later Carlos already won his first Grand Slam in NY and has become nr. 1 of the World. Amazing how he can play that good being so young. A great heir to the King of Paris: His Majesty Rafael Nadal. Armada Power for some more years.

This kid is just phenomenal! He’s got some serious wheels. Not only he gets to impossible shots, but he makes winners out of those, placing the ball incredibly well, out of his opponent’s reach. Carlitos is an incredible player, athlete, the likes Tennis has never seen before. He is THE guy to watch. Ombilibobol! As Rafa would say.

Just imagine, we may be seeing a new "Big 3" without any other "Big x" around. He could clean house for a decade and reach/pass the current record of slams. If Djokovic is allowed in Australia, Djokovic/Alcaraz could be an incredible match, hopefully a final.

I like this kid since 2 years ago and knew he would win slams as soon as this year, but no later than 2023. However, it is very unfair for Djokavic. Who rally cares about Covid right now? Aussie Open didn't let him play, U.S. Open didn't let him play. Until Alcaraz beat Djokavic in a slam and win the title, he is untested against Djokavic. I am not saying he can't beat Djokavic, I think Alcaraz does has the chance now, but I have to see it.

It's like watching the Michael Jordan of tennis. He plays at a different frequency from everyone else on the court. That frequency is called "simply amazing."

His opponents are hitting winners, and then he turns around and hits a better winner back. I Iike that he's confident, but not at aII conceited. AIcarez seems very sweet. Boy is he talented!

The Gaston match he lost from 4 love up in the second set, something he has gone on to repeat quite a few times when the real pressure is on...to live up to the world's expectation of you and defend titles. It's a lot easier when a player has zero expectation and no one has played them before. But one you're known, your style has been studies for strength and weakness, it becomes much harder, as Alkaraz has found out lately. Great player though.

Can everyone be quiet. He hasn't even been past the quarter final of a slam yet. And chokes every big game. Norrie schooled him the other day. Average enough so far.
