I got 2 questions from you, the first one, the 4th one. And then one of my own “In a years time, how would you have known I was the right fit for your company”. It makes it look like you’re going to be staying at the company for longer. Anyways good luck to me on my interview on the 29th

I have to be quite honest you have helped me. I realize the more interview you do the more confident you become. We must not feel bad when we don't land the job we must take this as a learning experience.

That's stupid. Always ask for the salary at first interview.

instead of advice i always as "What's a common mistake you see people in this position and how do you suggest they avoid it?"
However I really like the "could you tell me more about the team i would be apart of" - however sometimes they would say that in the debrief of the interview... the rest doesnt really suit me in my job. Im a freelance assistant stage manager

I'm sure you could re-word these questions, but wouldn't asking something generic like this be a turn off for an employer? Like you couldn't think of anything original? How should I handle that?

I'm not trolling, I mean that as a genuine question.

I don't really ask questions.

I just say 'I don't have any right now, but once I get into a role, I'll come up with something if I need more information as I learn on the job."

Didn't ask questions in my last interview. It was the First one I had in 7 years.... gonna go for another position in my company with these questions in mind thank you.

I was offered a higher internal position at my company in my department, and I find your channel to be very helpful. I do have to speak with two directors in my department just for formality. I still want to come prepared although I've worked with them for years, but not taking that for granted. I haven't interviewed since I started working at my employer which is almost 25 years. I've received promotions within my position, but 1st time being interviewed. I've written questions and answers down to be better prepared.

Well, asking questions is not really to impress the interviewer, but for you to learn more information about the job, so you can excel at your job.

I have an interview coming up (thanks to your videos) but I have a holiday booked in a couple of months for 1.5 weeks. Should I not tell them at the interview?

I've actually answered, to be honest I don't because you answered everything, because it's true. The fact they expect us to have questions after they yacked for an hour is ridiculous. The whole process is such bull.

Counterpoint: if we’re not supposed to ask what the pay rate is, how do we find out what they mean by “competitive salary“ without spending two weeks working for what turns out to be minimum wage?

So I had an interview yesterday for a role that would be my first professional career in my field. Really excited about the opportunity if given but there's one thing...I said one of the bad answers.. number #4 to be exact. Hopefully, I get my shot but if not ill make sure I use these tips in the future.

I asked about the five years goal plan for the company and the interviewer literally got excited because he just got out of the a meeting talking about the five-year goal plan for the department …so he was very impressed that I asked because he was able to give me a detailed response and I could tell that he was more intrigued … and I got a call back!!!!!!

So when do you tell them you already have scheduled travel?

Problem I have with some of these is I'm pushing for a secondment promotion not just in the same department but I'd likely inherit the team I'm currently in. If I don't know the answer to some of these questions myself, that'd probably send alarm bells to the upper management 😅
