Very informative.
ОтветитьHas the hull changed too?
ОтветитьFound your video really interesting. Excuse my ignorance but wondered about the foils, did they change anything drastic with those?
ОтветитьAre you getting any feedback from Ineos Team U.K. ?
Great attention to detail , think some of the official commentators need to have a look at what you are doing!!
Obvious gross changes in mainsail trim...sand baggers!
ОтветитьNice catch!
ОтветитьI think this was always going to be the fastest boat once everything was optimized. The wild hull shape just shows they were going deeper with R&D.
Ответитьas a newbie to watching these boats this is really interesting and useful - thanks!
ОтветитьWe are getting better and performing well in all conditions !
ОтветитьBen "Thanks to our designers & engineers for the great job they have done"
2 minutes later " We have changed everything, mast, sails and aerofoils"
The turnaround is just incredible. Many, including me, wrote them off after the ACWS. The humble pie tastes pretty good.... clearly every single member of the team from the Patron down to the floor sweeper got stuck in. Its working so far - well done to them!
ОтветитьThanks for your analysis. Excellent spotting. Thanks. Subbed.
ОтветитьIneos had nothing to loose and everything to gain was probably a blessing in disguise to be so behind in December.
ОтветитьGreat analysis! Would love your takes on the other teams.
Ответитьamazing on how much depth you covered. fabulous!
ОтветитьPatriot capsizing was spectacular, have Ineos capsized much ?
ОтветитьAgree. This was an excellent piece. Really well presented.
Ответитьexcellent
ОтветитьI understand Ineos had to change Rita's new outhaul system and were fined after legal protests by Luna Rossa
ОтветитьYou seem pretty knowledgeable, could you explain the term ventilating the rudder please
ОтветитьLove the analysis and spilt screen freezes. Very well done indeed. Keep it coming... I heard that Ben had talked about 10% gains which is great... although hopefully with some data analysis from this weekend there will be even more to come... in the Prada race today the downwind speed is what allowed Ineos to catch up after first beat and then build a gap after they then rounded level... and the numbers seem to indicate that...
ОтветитьNew rudder, new mast, a new mainsail and headsails, while modifications have been made to the foils and to the aero package of the hull and systems have been changed ... !
ОтветитьThey obviously had this tech ready to add.. so have blown all there tech prematurely will they continue to develop at pace? etnz say they will continue to develop right to the last race
ОтветитьI do not see the images why ?
ОтветитьMuch the same as team inios cycling team, lots of very subtle changes and they all add up to increased performance, very well done team inios, I’m just joe public but find this fascinating 👍
Ответитьhe simply cheated as a rule for the British
ОтветитьSuch a great video, thank you for sharing your expertise!
ОтветитьNice, cheers!
ОтветитьThis is amazing analysis. Thank you!
ОтветитьGreat analysis! The improvements they made were very significant indeed and it showed! However, I'm not sure I fully agree with your cunningham explanation for the mast bend, so if you could elaborate that would be great. In my opinion, using the cunningham to create mast bend works in unstayed dingy masts, but not on rigs of this caliber. Would love to hear your side!
ОтветитьBlack Is faster.... also it’s turned up to 11...
ОтветитьI heard it said that the changed the mast and the whole rig , in December they didn't have sufficient lift .
ОтветитьGreat update thank you
ОтветитьAmazing video!
ОтветитьBrilliant analysis.
Without a doubt you guys have the best insights on the Americas Cup of anyone I've found yet.
How does the windspeed compare between these two?
ОтветитьCan you tell me why these boats have a bowsprit please? It’s not being used at all in the traditional sense and is causing a lot of aerodynamic inefficiency...
ОтветитьYou guys are giving insights I don’t see anywhere else. Rock on!
Ответитьvery interesting!!
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьGreat analysis, really hoping Ben can bring the Auld Mug to the UK for the first time. And that's coming from one of the original winged keel mob.
ОтветитьQuestion is, with all the money spent by Ineos.. how did they get it so wrong up front? And are they just using this time to copy from what's working with the other teams? Would be interesting to see this analysis of the latest boat vs the other teams.
ОтветитьSo is this eased out mainsail evidence of sandbagging, where power is being left out of the boat for no obvious reason in December other than to disguise boat speed? It's not like these guys don't know how to trim a sail right?
ОтветитьQuality content, thanks. Refreshing to see informed analysis.
ОтветитьThen there's that thing called 'cavitation' which is effectively large bubbles causing resistance to a foil.
How do you remove cavitation? By creating your own air bubbles and thereby controlling the size of your bubbles.
How do you deliberately create tiny air bubbles along the leading edge of a flying foil at over 90k?
Ultra-sound ... does that Sound clear enough?
By breaking the water with ultra-sound the leading edge flys into a film of air, lowering resistance while providing full control and removing any chance of cavitation.
Do you understand? now what platform do you want to play with it on?
The platform I'm playing with this on is 2300mm wide.
big bubbles are a bummer - small bubbles help follow me ?
Wild to see how much areo loss there is on these boats, and they were insanely areo for the time only 3 years ago
