The glass was better after 2011 Madison. This video was edited after that. These are a script interview. The muzac and the satanic imagery in the video is sad. Medical Miracle and I will pray for you to see God is Love and God is Alive.
ОтветитьI met chihuly and been very blessed to see Venetian and the glass at art museum in London and Ottawa and Cambridge
ОтветитьThe designs and colours and the industry all advanced exponentially after glass roots 2011 . Interesting. Skateboarding is cool. Muzac.
ОтветитьArt with purpose :)
ОтветитьThis was one of the things that inspired me to start blowing glass. I've been working with glass for over 12 years now. Thanks to all involved. Truly inspirational.
Ответить"Snody's" that's what we called em. I wish I still had an original snody it'd sure be worth something now
ОтветитьEvery time I watch this and now passing onto my kid to be able to be a part of this. Beautiful thing. ❤ watching this now for the 6th time lol

ОтветитьPARABÉNS por o documentário galera
ОтветитьThis documentary is done so well, after I stumbled upon it one day, I started collecting pipes! Visually, historically and so interesting ...
ОтветитьSong title at 26 min?
ОтветитьI’m so glad this video is still up because I have watched it at least twice a year for the last five years. I fucking love this movie.
ОтветитьWhat's funny would be if they asked Robert the first time he actually made a pipe.
ОтветитьBest pipe I ever had was a JBD Mothership, and some knucklehead friend of one of my roommates basically broke it. My roommate brought it out to smoke, and I guess to impress his friend. Next, he went in the kitchen to grab/prepare some food, and he heard his friend knock the pipe over. Before he even made it back out to the living room, his friend was frantically repeating, "It's all right, it's all right." Even though it appeared to be all right, it wasn't. He must have caused a crack in the main tube just slightly above the downstem, for it wasn't too long after that when a different roommate had packed a bowl, and upon sliding it back down into the downstem, the Mothership just fell in half. I wasn't home when the pipe was initially cracked, but I was home when it died. My roommate started calling for me loudly, and I could tell something major was happening because not only from his loudness, but I could hear worry in his voice. I came out, and he started saying, "I swear, it wasn't my fault! I didn't do anything, I just slid the bowl back in, and it fell apart." I'm not sure if I would have normally believed him, but I didn't hear the pipe fall over, or hit anything, and he had a witness who backed up his story . . . plus I recalled how my other roommate's knucklehead friend had actually knocked the pipe over. My best pipe ever! She was a beaut!!! I have numerous pipes from being employed at a smoke shop, and eventually becoming the manager, and among those pipes, I do have three other JBD pipes, but no other Motherships . . . so what I still have does not come close to the amount of artistic design of the Mothership. It was the only glass pipe of mine, out of handpipes, one-hitters, chillums, bubblers, and waterpipes that was ever broken . . . except for one other.
The other pipe was broken by a roommate who I ended up despising. It was the top of the line of HVY Glass Pipes, not quite as fancy or expensive as a Mothership, but fairly close, and definitely heavy!!! And heady!!!!f He ended up breaking that in half. It was so durable, I didn't think he would break it, but then he didn't even take proper care of it. He never cleaned it. He would never replace the water with any fresh water (I change my water every time I smoke), he would just continue to use it until all of the water had nearly evaporated from it, then he would add more water, but without cleaning it or rinsing it out, so it had this black layer that was just gradually building up on the bottom. I honestly do not know how he could stand to smoke out of the thing. Luckily, I had enough forethought to not allow him to use the heady pull bowl I had purchased separately for it. I wasn't going to let him use an eighty-five dollar pull bowl that he would likely break, he can use the twenty dollar bowl that came with the pipe. If only I felt the same about the pipe, but it was so thick and heavy, I had figured it would survive him! If I had only known. Of course, with him being the type of person he is, he never once offered to compensate me in anyway for breaking it.
So . . . basically, the only glass pipes that ever broke under my possession/ownership were my two best waterpipes, and both were broken at the hands of others!
This is why I could never comprehend how so many fools would come into the shop and mention they need to get a new piece because they had just broke their last one. A few were in almost every week! However, the most popular story I would hear of how people would break their pipes was when they would smoke a bowl, and then they would leave the pipe in their laps, forget that it was there, and when they finally stood up for whatever reason, the pipe would fall out of their laps onto the floor and inevitably break! Why not set the pipe down on the coffee table or an end table . . . and if you have neither, then why not on the floor beside the chair or couch, or even under the couch if you're sitting in the middle???

ОтветитьHi can talk to you
ОтветитьCool bongs
Ответитьthe arrogance that flows from hughs mouth when he talks about snodgrass is insane.
ОтветитьJackie showed this to me not too long ago and I really enjoy it.
Ответитьi produced this film with slinger. great guy great doc.
ОтветитьSlinger did an amazing job with this. So much incredible talent in one place.
All Hail Bob Snodgrass!
💚💛❤️🙏
One Love to muh glass fam! 😘
watching this about a month after "king of kings" sold at Return of the heaterz, its so cool to see how right so many artists in this doc were at the time.
ОтветитьThis movie is the reason I am a pipemaker. Watched it one day randomly and was hooked. I hangout at my local glass shop til they hired me. Shortly after I bought a torch and have been making pipes for almost 7 years. Still watch it every few months just to get as stoked as I was back when I first saw it
ОтветитьI started glass about 8 years ago after wanting to for sometime, Something about the opening scene and documentary still gets me in the feels and makes me tear up every time. Thank you slinger!!!!
Ответитьi was see these heady pieces in shops and they always intrigued me,knowing the craftmanship and passion that goes into these things kinda makes me appreciate even just a random bubbler sittin in a glass case, these people are artists in the truest sense
ОтветитьThat was pretty disappointing as far as history of boro pipes... snoddy had an amazing teacher what about him. Wasnt pyrex making pipes in the 20s?
ОтветитьThe profit driven us government is absolutely disgusting. All these guys getting arrested makes my blood boil. Pure corruption at every level. You think we don’t have corruption because cops don’t take bribes like they do in places like Mexico and Russia, or corruption is just more secretive and insidious
ОтветитьAs a first year pipe maker, having looked up to all of these guys throughout the entirety of that time and the time spent collecting prior, this hits me deeply. These guys and this documentary are absolutely legendary. So much respect
ОтветитьI swear I'm 10k of these views now. Every few months I find myself back watching this. Such an awesome documentary
ОтветитьHamm looks and sounds like heath ledger in Dogtown
ОтветитьSo whose got a small format dragon for me to try?
ОтветитьSo happy to see good friends and experience the movement first hand. Love my fellow glass blowe and chubby glass and Ryan roseburg for teaching what you know and you are the best I've seen!!
ОтветитьAwesome documentary ! This and a glass blower in Oregon are what have driven me to start my path down this road
ОтветитьWhat is that “you know how I feel song”?
ОтветитьWell, I want a sick pipe now...
ОтветитьWish this was still on Netflix
ОтветитьI thought this was an amazing documentary 8-9 years ago when I was a college kid, but now I can't help but feel it completely copies the format/style of documentaries done by Ken Burns... Still a well-executed documentary which contributed greatly to the industry, but that seems to be a common theme in almost all of Slinger's work, and even worse in his brother Pakoh who's making literally bottom-level garbage with LV and Gucci monograms.
Ответить<3 <3
ОтветитьWonder if buck thought then if he would be where he is now.
ОтветитьThe govt makes it illegalt to import these items yet forced shops to import becaise they didnt want to invest in domestic american families and art.
ОтветитьSorry for doing it better than any other capitalist in america. They were pissssed
ОтветитьThis documentary got me started in glass blowing, I bet it's still doing that for other kids
