I used to play the crap out of GW, it was the only shooter where I was actually competitive; and everything about the game just screamed awesomeness to me. Then when I played the beta for GW2, I was absolutely blown away; that same feeling carried over and multiplied a thousand fold.

It’s just a shame that barely anyone plays the original game anymore and the player count fluctuates for the second game on ps4 (at least for me, the only game modes that are somewhat active is Turf Takeover, Team vanquish, and Mixed Mode.

Now that's what I call... NOSTALGIA

God it was so easy to do everything in neighborville I definitely think it’s a good starting game for younger people, unless they just skip right to gw 1 or 2 so they don’t suffer, garden warfare 2 is perfect and I thank garden warfare 1 for showing what works so 2 could be the best it could be

I want a game with lots of variants like gw2 but the cute cartoony graphics of bfn, also movement in bfn was just faster it felt nice. sad it'll never happen

I don't understand the criticism of Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville (BFN). From what I can tell, it improves upon almost every aspect of the previous PVZ shooter games.

BFN seems to have:

•Better gameplay - More responsive controls, less reliance on 'cone' shooting, faster time to kill which makes for more dynamic battles

•Fewer bugs and glitches - A smoother, more polished multiplayer experience compared to the previous games

•More game modes - From turf takeover to team vanquish to bosses, there is more variety in how you play

•Enhanced online features - More customization options, backpacks, upgrades, etc. especially for multiplayer matches

•An improved storyline - With the new Neighborville setting and characters

Yet many fans still seem to prefer Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 1 and 2 to BFN. I'm struggling to understand why, given how much BFN improves upon the technical and feature side of things.

Fans dickride the earlier Plants vs Zombies shooters over Battle for Neighborville due to personal preference for slower pace, fond memories of earlier games, and initial issues that left a bad impression. Subjective reasons like preferences and nostalgia account for criticism despite BFN's objective improvements. Fans enjoyed "cone" weapons of earlier games more. Many have nostalgia for time spent playing for years, though BFN now has fewer bugs.

BFN deserves more respect.

BFN is just bad guys. Like gw and gw2 are just miles better in terms of how it looks and gameplay is better. the only thing good about bfn is the new characters they added, if only they kept the same elements from gw2 then it would’ve been the trilogy everyone wanted

Torchwood might be the only one to be a boss and a playable character

The first competitive game I played and the one that probably spent the most time was GW on PS3, and for me it's impossible to change such a beautiful game for the bfn, I mean, the animations and graphics are gorgeous but it doesn't look like the pvz characters

gw2 on top, bfn literally is more animated but gw2 has more realistic stuff and the variants are so cool with their different abilities. the only good thing about bfn is that it has running mechanics, and new characters, but the missions are so boring to do. I never actually played gw, but i do know that it only has 4 plants and 4 zombies. Gw2, i rlly like the graphics and missions u do, different variants or skins u can call them, cool different abilities u can unlock, and rlly cool game modes. i grew up playing gw2 as a kid in 2016 and i still play it this year. To me usually in my opinion, gw2's cosmetics for each character looks bad in my opinion but it does makes sense that if your a pro or not. It doesnt matter in my opinion tho. In gw2, my favorite variants is super brainz, chomper, foot soldier, imp, and peashooter
