ERROR CORRECTION - during the video I say the PPSh-41s were loaded with 50-round drum magazines - I meant to say 71-round drums. No need to comment further.
ОтветитьIt's not P-P-S-h, but P-P-Sh = the "Sh" is an English way to write a sound that souds like a "sh" in "shoes"...
ОтветитьThat plane could wipe out a platoon
ОтветитьWow that's amazing
ОтветитьRussian Metal Storm gun
ОтветитьGermans: "We built an 88 gun."
Soviets: "We built an 88 gun attack aircraft."
Well, nothing can help the Nazis in Ukraine now. They will be losing this war shortly.
ОтветитьNot surprising that it wasn't adopted into service. When you think of all the extra effort to implement this weapons system you pretty quickly come to the obvious conclusion that it would make far more sense to just install more forward firing guns, greatly increase the total ammo capacity, and stick to conventional ground attacking tactics.
ОтветитьThe A-10's Great grandfather.
ОтветитьYou could use that to plow a field in no time.
ОтветитьSo who's flying old TU2's now? - - - Judging by the 'progress' of the Ukranian war and the total inefficiency of the Russian airforce, I'm guessing they're the ones bringing these relics out of mothballs.
ОтветитьImagine the noise
ОтветитьNice clickbait. Thought first about a German bomber with an 88 gun.
ОтветитьRussia is amazing !
Ответить"No...we decided not to use your prototype...but Great spirit 👏 uhh let's just move past this quickly....and don't bring it up" - Tula design head.
ОтветитьI think there was a weapons system that was featured on “future weapons” that has 36 barrels and could in theory let off one million rounds in 60 seconds..
ОтветитьEons ago I read a book on the Thompson sub machine gun. I saw a photo of a bank of them in a plane just like these were.
ОтветитьEvery time it fired, it jumped up 10,000ft due to recoil 😜
ОтветитьWith all of that recoil the plane had the potential to be the worlds first vertical take off aircraft.
Ответить88 as a tribute to Stalin's best ally, maybe ?
ОтветитьNow this is a gunship… hur hur
ОтветитьI had know idea? Holy cow?!
ОтветитьSinister Mark Feltom is an Earl. Trust him not.
ОтветитьThat nation was the Soviet Onion 😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьMany thanks for another incredible story Dr. Felton! I truly wouldn't have believed this yarn had anyone else told me this. Terrific work.
ОтветитьТу-2 хороший бомбовоз )
ОтветитьBet the Russians are bringing them out of retirement now. They need more planes.
ОтветитьInvented in 1944... So almost near the End of the War... So what was its purpose? I can only imagine the use against civilian refugee treks. I dont think it would be efficient against infantry/soldiers. Sadly no word in the video about the intention of devoloping this weapon.
ОтветитьThis idea merited further development. The USA adopted a saturation ground-attack concept with "Puff" in Vietnam, and of course most people will be familiar with the Warthog's notorious `burrrrp...'
ОтветитьWasting the bullets made by the workers of the Soviet union.... But the magazines didn't seem that big...and that rate of fire....not for long
ОтветитьI would love to hear that thing run a burst over some Orcs these days. Might even give the Warthog a run for coolest gun run sound. Should be a new Grammy Award class for coolest airplane guns dont you think?
ОтветитьIn short: a failed experiment.
ОтветитьGaijin when
ОтветитьOh those Russian
ОтветитьWhere were you when I was studying history?
Best to you Scott Whitmire
Why bother to open the bomb bay?
ОтветитьRussians were never shy when it came to try out ideas - no matter how crazy they appeared :)
ОтветитьGermans: We have 88mm gun
Soviets: We have 88 guns
It would have been total terror to the Tigers! 7,62 armour piercing incendiaries, even bad Bismarck would have been on the run!!
ОтветитьLol 🤣 the most stupid aircraft ever
ОтветитьVery interesting video, the Russians had very effective small arms and equipment.
ОтветитьA SOVIET SPOOKY?
ОтветитьВ наставлении по ППШ-41 указана скорострельность 1000 выстрелов в минуту.
ОтветитьR.I.P. headphone users.
ОтветитьJoseph Stalin: 'Quantity has a quality all its own"
Me: "Okaaaaaaay, but still, 88 papashas, Joe? Really?"
German Lanser: "Fritz, is that rain I hear coming down... ARRRRGGGGH!"
Haha... all female pilots with 2 forward fitting cannons 😂😂 my inner 5yo jumped for joy
ОтветитьNot that nation was the Soviet Union but this state was the Soviet Union!!!
