i mean, there's ppl with faster bh like zjk, but no one has as balanced spin, speed, power, and the smoothest transitions as ma long. even fzd who can often beat ma long, sort of muscles his way through to win.

He looks so chilled playing every single shot, even mixing in some slower, more controlled chops etc! Just magnificent 👌

As an amateur who has been working constantly on my forehand loop, watching a million tutorials and filming myself to analyze my technique, this is so phenomenal to watch. To see every aspect of the technique executed so perfectly, repeatedly, no matter where the ball is and what he has to do to get there, is so inspiring.

Ma's backhand has improved so much

I did a 4 hour training session today and I feel like I’ve been run over, just amazing watching Ma Long

oh lord he never misses, never makes a mistake, and you can hear the contact of the ball is maximum power and spin, it's just flawless technic. When I train, I miss like 1 of each 3 balls, 1 of 5 if I'm on fire that day lmao

Ah it's just so crazy how good Ma Long is! It's quite hard to even explain what he's doing differently to other players that makes him so good. He's flawless! It's like trying to explain what makes Messi or Ronaldo so good at football. Simply the 🐐

1. Watch his leg muscles contract for every shot. That's where the power is coming from. Upper body fully relaxed to allow the energy to flow freely 2. He leans forward for the backhand stroke yet remains more upright for the forehand to allow for the waist/upper body rotation/weight transfer. 3 Half a step backwards after looping underspin to maintain pressure/tempo.
