Income inequality is not really so much of an issue in the UK, as the regional equality, which is really stark. A three-bedroom semi in Newcastle is around £200,000 (maybe even less). The same in London is around £800,000. The two cities are barely three hours away by train.

The roads are small? It's a tiny country with a large population. Ya idiot.

As an Australian, the fact the houses are small intrigues me. The look cozy and cute. I don't like large houses. I like that small cozy house. The car insurance is good, i like that. Means if someone does a hit and run on you, your covered. I dont mind having to pay for insurance to drive. As for the weather, I would rather it rain nearly every day then feel like burning to death constantly.

Everything is literally getting a price on just living but with Everything becoming expensive over the years and we're not getting enough income to balance the outcome is making living very difficult especially on our own.
Even some requests that is stupid too like if you're an animal person that wants a decent place many will either say no pets or need permission, you're young and want an affordable place to live independently, well many of them has an age restriction where you need to be like 55 years old or older to RENT not own but RENT the place. Why is the Australians doing better when they're ancestors were formally from the UK?

Rent and wages are worse for quality of life in the US. I pay more for a studio in Colorado than my friend pays for her one bedroom in south London.

The only things I would agree with are the weather is shite and the car insurance is a scam. People here are super friendly and it's easy to get friends, real friends, yes, some people are shy but that is a generalisation that all people are quiet. Food is from every corner of the earth so to say it is bland is saying food all over the world is bland. The markets sell everything so you can make your food how you like it. People here do drink far too much and is a cause for concern but the government makes too much money from the tax so nothing will ever be done about it. The people who made this video have never been to Britain by the sounds of it and have just talked about stereotypes and misconceptions usually made by Americans.

Britain is a great country to live in. Of course it's not perfect but it's better than most other countries in many ways. Most of the inconvenient things are true of any (northern) European country, but Britain is better in comparison. It is also a haven for introverts, who don't have a lot of places to feel at home in our day and age.

How insulting and untrue is your opinion on our food and that’s coming from an American too how can a guy from a country where they fry 90% of there food and school shootings are a normal occurrence have an opinion to be taken serious 🙄

Good overall perspective. Please remember Britain is 4 countries and all unique! The Irish & Scots are the most welcoming and friendly! England can seem less friendly due to citizens on a specific journey to complete a task with a deadline and might seem unfriendly. But most would take a moment or go above and beyond if someone is in need 😊

The only good thing about England is...can't remember any good thing. Food is oily and horrible, weather is awful, the 3 days summer with 25 degrees and they feel like it's paradise is even funny to listen in radio when they talk about it. The beaches full of stones, dirty and polluted water. The people is rude as hell and the only thing they can come up with when you argue about something is" learn English", which is the only thing they can do, at least 40% .The NHS is probably the only country where the professionals work just for money and people applaud them all time and give them discounts, same goes for teachers. The health and safety is ridiculous, i remember once i had to do a 3 days course to be allowed to use a step leader at work XD the roads always blocked the traffic is horrible. The main hobby is drinking beer in pub till fall flat or start fight each others. The prices are ridiculous expensive for the salary they get , a luxury house in UK which cost 1 million in Spain/Portugal/Greece/Italy would cost £250.000/300.000. UK have same house pricing as Switzerland at the moment. Never get used to it in UK, since the moment i moved in till the moment i left. Maybe i was just living in paradise before and i didn't know. Most part of Brits will never know what's good as they never had it.

Also us white English suffer far more racism than any foreigners I mean we get it bad and have so much off our coultures etc taken by migrants but we can't report racism

British born n bred. HATE IT it's hell. It looks after immigrants etc but can't look after neglects and abuses its own people. I am homeless for 1st time ever by accident and my council are not helping house me I have chronic mental health and am known as the highest s***de risk and very active in s/harm and s***** attempts but have been left with zero support. Mental health refuse responsibility as my case is too complex and I'm too high risk for them, th police no longer bother regulate welfare checks or safeguard being fully aware I have no one looking out for me or notice or report m missing or welfare concerns. I've never had a family. I'm not even able to get a doctor's. This country is vile and corrupt.

Moved to Brittany 10 years ago and never looked back. England is an expensive and crime ridden place to live in these days.

Not sure about no.7, I've lived in the UK my entire life and find the people to actually be quite chatty and interesting if you speak to them. We are reserved so won't but in, but if you talk to someone they won't stop talking. Maybe you're just boring? We would also help in an emergency, that's just silly.

Actually you can use a TV without a licence if you are not plugged into an aerial watching live TV, only using streaming services

We have small cars cos we don’t need to carry huge American ego’s. And they are better for parking and make more sense on our smaller roads. That’s what I’m talking about 🇬🇧 And You don’t need a tv license unless you are stupid enough to buy one.
