Few days ago I wanted to have my fist at ever psychedelic experience and took 2g of dried mushrooms. I didn’t feel anything at all. Did anyone have a similar experience and most of all does anyone know why it didn’t have any effect on me?

Psilocybin saved my life. I was addicted to heroin for 15 years and after Psilocybin treatment I will be 3 years clean in September. I have zero cravings.

I've tried several times, even microdosing for a short while, and had no effects worth keeping it up for.
It seems to work for most others, so I was disappointed.

A lot of companies are messing with prodrugs, mostly phenolic derivatives of psilocin which purportedly have improved properties.
4-acetoxyDMT itself was legal and available online for a few years, I found it quite enjoyable.

Last week I tried all sorts of different amounts of psilocybin. The first time I did 3 grams and it was pretty nice, but felt kind of mild so I did another 2 and it kind of prolonged a smaller peak. The next time I tried 5g and the first time doing that was pretty intense, but I didn't KO and trip out... I actually felt active and was running all over the place as I usually do.
Out of curiosity I tried 10g at once and that was super intense. I saw at one point or another some very vivid visuals of being in a trippy cassino where jesters jump around and deal the cards. This with my eyes closed... then it was like the whole universe desintegrated and reintegrated after what seemed like a long time, but it had only been a few minutes.

There's a bunch of other stuff that happened on the 10g trip... A lot of stuff I don't even remember.
Idk I feel like microdosing is just wasting it.

I thought all you had to do to isolate the compound was to make a terpine like they do with THC, except you grind the shrooms, wet it a little and then press it... The oil that comes out is probably gonna have loads of the stuff... Although the yield is probably like 10%.

Depression wise I don't know how it affected... After all I've only been taking it for a week...
My whole life people were telling me "dude you should record an album" and "you should be on the radio."
Etc... Then I get all the gear, record everything HD 4k quality and I get 1 view on the stuff... I of course deleted everything because I've never felt so stupid. I'm gonna sell my guitar and take like 50g of psilocybin in small 5 to 10g doses just to get over this nightmare.

i'd take them more seriously if they'd admit they don't have the slightest clue of the actual consciousness shifting psychedelic effect and what could possibly cause it. it does not equal to the physical reactions that can be measured in the brain, and there is no evidence whatsoever that identical stimulation to the brain would cause the identical effect on conscious level. but modern science is day by day less about actually studying, and more about the religious authority of telling how things are.

Psychedelic is the answer to most severe anxiety and depression. The use of magic mushrooms completely helps one get over depression and makes you feel like yourself.

In the 1960's and 70's, the War on Drugs was an initiative to obviously get people off of drugs, but what was the reason? Because drugs are bad? No, because LSD and magic mushrooms were seen as miracle drugs. The real reason is because after going on psychedelic trips (or using other drugs, usually psychedelics), people were less inclined to war efforts and were more likely to be anti-war. The government really wanted to have as many people on-board with war efforts, so to silence the anti-war hippies, they made their drugs illegal and spread propaganda to teach people that drug users were incoherent idiots with no self-control.

IDK about all the specific details, but I've noticed that mushrooms seem to help a lot with my ADHD. I find it so much easier to just relax and enjoy things now, whereas previously I could barely do anything without getting distracted by some meaningless crap I'd end up wasting all my time on. As a whole I think I just appreciate life more now and it's lovely.

There is no solid evidence of psychedelic induced plasticity in the human brain. Studies have shown plasticity promoting effects mostly in rodents. While effects on dendritic spines have been reported in multiple studies, it remains somewhat unclear what these spine changes indicate. Changes in spine dynamics are influenced by many factors, including the simple housing of rodents in enriched environments. For example, in most mouse studies the mice are housed in cages with relatively little to do, but if they are placed in a cage that has "enrichment", e.g. toys, running wheels, opportunities for various activities, increases in dendritic spines are observed. Moreover, circadian rhythms and sleep are likely also important for changes in spinogenesis. My point is, that there are many variables that we still don't completely understand to really say what the changes in spine dynamics reflect, and thus I remain still cautious about saying that psychedelics unequivocally increase plasticity.

Also, no scientific evidence to support an entourage effect with psilocybin at this stage.

Psychedelics saved me from years of uncontrollable depression, anxiety and illicit pill addiction. imagine carrving heavy chains for over a decade and then all of a sudden that burden is gone. Believe it or not in a couple years they'll be all over for treatment of mental health related issues.

If this works as well as these studies suggest, then it's absolutely criminal that the so-called "war on drugs" kept this from people who needed it for decades in the U.S. How many suffered to the point of taking their own lives during the decades where this treatment might otherwise have been discovered and used to help them? Even more blood on the hands of the Nixon and Reagan administrations, and all their allies who succeeded them... As if there wasn't enough already.
