ОтветитьAmano shrimps eat algae only when they are hungry... This is impossible in the common tank with other shrimps and fish.
ОтветитьCan you talk about black algae and how to get rid of it? My tank is so full of it .I am about to boil everthing the unit.
ОтветитьThank you for this video. Can anyone help, how do I cool off my tank water? It gets hot inside our home in the summer, I've shut off the heater, but the water still gets pretty warm. I've been to two different aquarium shops about 30 minutes from my home, (there isn't an aquarium shop in my town.) and neither shop has mentioned there could be more algae in the summer months.
ОтветитьVery interesting simple and straightforward. Bravo
Ответить8 hours... I turned on the light for 13-14 hours. It is not surprising that algae appeared.
ОтветитьI gave up on the hobby due to too much algae
ОтветитьLoved this video. It has been beautifully presented and well defined. As a beginner, this video just made me a lot confident in myself and my ability to have a beautiful aquarium. Thanks again
ОтветитьHi MJ!!
I have a question, you don’t have any problem with Cherry Shrimp on plants tank with CO2 injection?
You are indeed a Tropical Fishkeeping god :D So much information is kept a "Secret" thankyou so much for sharing this valuable information with us bravo!
Ответитьhey bro, do you prefer a canister filter on a 45p or a hob? id imagine the added flow in the column is beneficial from a canister filter right? any other benefits of the canister other than more media?
Ответить2 siamese algae eaters! No more then 12 hour light, dont overfeed proper filtration and a wavemaster current creating a slight curent under the water (no dead spots).
ОтветитьMost comprehensive video on Maintenance and care! Very practical and commonly ignored suggestions!
ОтветитьDo you have an average amount of liquid ferts you put in to the tank or do you entirely base it off of what the plants are doing due to the lean fert method.
ОтветитьVery informative video, tnx. let me add nr 21- Becarefull to dechlorine the new water when u do water change, chlorine will kill both fishes and benefent bacteria causing algae grow.
ОтветитьUV STERILIZER - Learn from the saltwater hobbyist

ОтветитьHoe kan ik roestplekken op drijfhout verwijderen?
ОтветитьBeneficial bacteria during cycling grow faster in tropical temperatures, so I'm not sure why you're saying higher temps are not good for your beneficial bacteria.
ОтветитьVery good infos thanks.
ОтветитьSo lets say i have alot of algae on the glass and i scrub it all off it makes the water murky and stuff is to much algae floating in the water bad for the fish?
ОтветитьA video on dark starts would be very interesting
ОтветитьHaven't realized this one in the past: Don't do water changes during the photoperiod or while the plants are running full blast as to not disturb/interrupt photosythesis from introducing fresh water low in CO2, differing temps or higher pH and other. Good point, thanks Mark!
ОтветитьI see it’s only small tanks doing this not bigger tanks
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьAll the things I never knew about fish tanks....thank you!!!!! Great job!!!
ОтветитьDamn im trying to get my aquarium to look like urs bro that shit is hard. Good job

Ответитьcurrently suffering with gsa and some kind green algae (film, slimy) on the plants/wall of tank.. can you give an advice sir.. tqsm
ОтветитьHello. I’m keeping my acquarium 2 years. And all 2 years I have problems with algae. You tell that we need to use as much plants as it possible at start. Once I’ve bought lot of echinodorus. I didn’t know that they were grown up above the water. And I put them. They were melting and that created a huge level of organic with lot of problems
ОтветитьAbsolutely love this video, it's a quick one stop video full of valid algea advice. My only question is: if you want to reduce your light, but also want a long viewing time; what would be the best spectrum (color) to use to lengthen your viewing time?
Ответитьwhat is the name of your carpet plants
Ответитьgreat!
ОтветитьAwesome planted tanks to view in this video. 👍🏴
ОтветитьLimnoplhillia sessiflora, pearl weed, guppy grass, frogbit, dwarf water lettuce are great plants to have theyre fast growing, beautiful easy and help. Amino shrimp and a couple Siamese algae eaters.
ОтветитьThank you for the explanations and solutions!! They sound very logic, I'm going to try them out 🌟
ОтветитьMark - Great videos! But how is it that your pH is only 7 - 7.7? I am using RO water because I'm on a private well in Michigan where ground water is hard and alkaline with high iron. I treat the RO with Equilibrium and a small portion of my well water resulting in 2-3 degrees of KH and GH, but pH for my water runs from 6.5 before CO2 starts down to about 5.9 at the end of the 8 hour CO2 injection. As a result, I can't seem to keep shrimp alive and only been able to keep 2 out of 12 oto's alive. Algae also a problem despite following all of your guidance, green dust coats the glass less than 24 hours after water change. Suggestions as to what is killing my cleaning crew and driving the algae? - Dan
ОтветитьDo you have a video on how to lean dose properly? I can't seem to find anyone talking much about it. I understand its having the least amount of nutrients possible but is there a guide to show how much is minimum and what might be too much?
ОтветитьOK, I have to ask as you have such success - my new 4ft tank is high light (Chihiros), Neo Soil substrate capped with aquarium sand and CO2 injected. I also dose liquid ferts and a carbon supplement for the plants. However - the leaves are browning, a few have come loose and I've had to fish them out of the tank and overall they aren't looking super healthy. The Christmas moss is growing like wildfire though as is a little algae - so I'm super confused. Any pro tips?
Ответитьwhat about chihiros doctor or similar ?
Ответитьthanks very interesting
Ответить작은 어항을 아기자기하게 하셨네요 쉽지 않은데 ㄷㄷ
Ответить18 es lo más importante !!
Ответитьnice tips
ОтветитьYour tanks are beautiful, dude
ОтветитьJust found your channel after researching the CO2 kit. You have covered the topic of Algae very well I will just add one more point. Diatoms (Brown algae). Usually, you get this in a newly set up tank it is doubtful other algae will be present. It is horrible slimy stuff. Do nothing it will just go on its own in about 2 weeks.
You are right on consistency. When things change plants shut down until they adjust.
thanks...the best video i've seen so far!
Ответитьit is very helpful to beginers
