“This documentary has been months in the making and throughout production we kept wondering if disruptions in global supply chains would still be an issue by the time it came out. Unfortunately, with intermittent shutdowns of ports and factories in China due to Omicron, sanctions on Russia, and the invasion of Ukraine, supply chain disruptions are in some ways as big an issue as they were during the peak of the pandemic.
With every new report of goods costing more or being more difficult to get, backlogs at ports or walkouts at an e-commerce distribution center, it feels like understanding of how all of that works is more important than ever.”

ОтветитьIt will never be the same because people aren't the same. Why? They don't shop the same way. People used to get-up off their butts and choose what they bought from floor models. Now people shop online with projected presentation. Which isn't really before your eyes. Its somewhere in tbe world. This wasn't caused by any Political Party like one Idiot has claimed. We the People caused it. By deeper intensity demand for a much wider inventory
ОтветитьAlways the people so far up the chain who don’t drive saying why we don’t have drivers….all wrong… simply stop with the rules and regulations. We absolutely love to drive. The government makes us wanna park for good and change careers

Ответитьwhen i lived in the netherlands, i would order stuff from china pretty much every week - it was so convenient. now i live in norway, and it's super inconvenient to order stuff, so my shopping addiction is gone. it helps me realise that I never needed all that stuff. so i focus on buying local or making things i need myself. i feel better and my bank account feels better haha
ОтветитьFauci and the W.H.O. organization shut down of countries started it. China doesn't care, to me their lovin it. Buying all kinds of stuff up here in the United states of America. While ill Biden was left in place. Cocaine found in the White House, camera's every where didn't hear anyone charged. Not enough votes to impeach him (Biden) shows a lot of these people in government are either corrupt or don't know what there doing, or just don't care.
Ответитьwell this is risk of having nothing being produced in your own country. USA is just like Sweden, to much imported products. i REALLY hope we in Europe and people in USA get some "local" productions back, sadly we have to many taxes and to many environmental laws and rules that makes it more expensive to produce. but if i get a good European product like my Volkswagen from Germany, or a smartphone med in Poland or my hunting weapons from Ukraine and their weapons industry i would happily pay a little bit more to cover the salary cost´s. compared to Chinese products. i try as far as i can not to buy a product made in China, and i make sure to give my feed back to companies who use China for production that i dont want it. i want "Made in US" or "Made in Europe" again! i miss those times!
And this would solve the shipping and transport issues we have also!
It s like 150 years ago,we all got the phones but they are using them only as a trucking tool and gor all info on when the load is ready when is the pick up you have to believe in borcker s word and drive to get that kind of info.
ОтветитьThis whole video is so depressing

Ответитьwhy dont truckers get paid more. i'd do that job if it paid more
ОтветитьQ is more about the world, from Democratic point, cannot allow totalitarian/dictatorship to lead & rule the world. If China was a Democratic nation then no stop for China, to me. Today world is not a place for any nation to become big spender actually. May be in the longer future there may come the new big spender. Every nations just simply need peace and stability where no nation create war nor threats. Stability is a desirable way of the world. If Russia-Putin and CCP Xi could not stay cool and happy then may be the two prefer to stay alone all by themselves? And any nation like to be part of them then make it clear. The remaining nations join hands in peace in economic tide and move away from the two aggressive nations soonest. It is better than any big war which seem to get …………………. Supply Chain of the world would change to the point of craziness if WWIII become reality. So let’s survive separately.

ОтветитьThe video talks about how the COVID-19 pandemic messed up global supply chains, and they might not go back to normal. It says countries want to spread out where they get stuff from, so they're not stuck if one place has problems. Companies are thinking about getting materials closer to home to avoid future mess-ups. Because of COVID-19, more manufacturing is coming back to where it started or moving closer by. Governments are giving perks to companies to make stuff locally to help the economy. Fancy new technology, like 3D printing and robots, might let companies make things nearby more in the future. Companies are also worried about problems with trading between countries and politics, so they're setting up more places to make stuff. Instead of just having enough stuff on hand, they might start keeping extra, just in case something goes wrong. Basically, COVID-19 showed how fragile big supply chains are, so now everyone wants them to be stronger.
ОтветитьThe back ground music is sickening, very loud and distracting.

ОтветитьThis world is crazy, no respect, no awareness, no knowledge and dont care how things work, fix it and fix it fast. Just live life floating around worrying about irrelevancy. I see it everyday allday in traffic. Salute to my truckers and the hard workers that keep the supply chain moving. Keep on Trucking!
ОтветитьI'm from India and I've no idea of this channel I was reading rich dad & poor dad and there was an line where they talk about the ' wall streets'. Loved this channel.
ОтветитьPeople are so spoiled.
ОтветитьAll of you who think we are over the pandemic is infor a rude awakening!!!
Kalifornia is in the processing of outlawing the use of internal combustion vehicles and that includes trucks that service the ports at Long Beach ! Truck operators are fleeing Kalifornia do the supply is and will continue to decrease. All those products that you take for granted will become more c ostly and take much lolnger to get to you!
This is not o nly for products made in China but also for food grown in Kalifornia that's transported to the rest of the country!!! So expect the food you eat to cost more as well!!!
So Kalifornia's liberal insanity will cost you more regardless if you support or even live in Kalifornia!!!😂😂😂
Eventually it will be self driving. All the factors seems to be pushing to that.
ОтветитьSomething really nice about this documentary is you get to see the diverse people involved in the industry: Blue collar, white collar, men, women, all nationalities ... Very interesting and informative.
ОтветитьIf you got it, a truck brought it.

ОтветитьThere are references about samsung and Intel but doesnt talk about the CHIPS Act. Part of this domestic production is due to the support in funding, no?
ОтветитьI was really impressed with all the workers involved in this documentary, especially their attitudes. As a retired person, I truly appreciate all workers involved in the delivery process. I appreciate all workers everywhere who make our world work. As customers we should be appreciative and don't need to make their jobs harder with insignificant complaints and excessive demands. Thank you workers around the world!
