Excellent. Nearly gave me the same feeling as watching Dana Andrews walk thru the boneyard of aircraft being scrapped in “The Best Years of Our Lives.” Just a bit of nostalgia like the Quonset huts of the Confederate Airforce in Harlingen, Texas

Always good to see documentarys portraying our two countries getting along to vanquish a common foe. Many of our young men British and American never came back and died a Violent death weather by bullets or parachutes not opening or not being able to get out of a ship that was going down because of the G forces pinning them into place so a long 90 seconds to the ground ! God Bless them all.

My father, MSGT M D FALK 494th Bombardment Squadron, 8th USAAF (Asia-Pacific (1942-1944) - UK 1944-45) Gunner/Engineer - I never got to meet him but to me, he was a very brave man.

Does anyone know if DD video or Semaphore communications are still going ? I know Roger A Freeman passed in 2005, but I'd like to make contact with the programme makers.

I was a child at Charmy Down near Bath in 1943 living in a Nissan hut. The USAAF were there at the time.

Just found this video and although made over 30 years ago, its a wonderful and interesting story.

Like Vernam field in Jamaica and Little Goat Island.
