Already, the premise 'is life better in the UK than .....(fill in the blank)' sets the scene for a greedy mindset. It shows the hypocrisy of the motives of why people choose to move to the UK; on the one hand, they complain about colonialism, on the other hand, they want to line their pockets with profits to send home to their families, so the money leaves the UK, and that depletes the economy even more. This is treasonous behaviour.

A Radiographer is different than a Radiologist who is a consultant doctor specialised in Radiology.

The Radiographer guy in this video will be earning a decent wage to live a comfortable life from just his Radiographer role only. The logistics side hustle is extra money and his personal business which is good on him especially for the fact that he is realising a dream of being an entrepreneur, something that is far easier for him to achieve here in the UK than in Nigeria where touts and corrupt officials would without fail do all they can to frustrate his business.

If he were a Radiologist, he would be earning far more, owning a far better home as consultant doctors are amongst the top one percent earners in the UK and would hardly drive logistics vans as a side hustle because the can easily pull major money by doing a few hours of private Radiology work. Except perhaps like the guy here, a doctor decides that being a man and van in his free time is his passion.

As for the NHS, it is free at the point of service which means that if you are a citizen or legal resident, you do not pay for medical care when you need it. You only pay for some prescription medications, you also pay for dental and eye care. Funding for the NHS comes from taxes paid by us and IHS surcharge collected by a certain category of foreigners coming into the UK.

The Sonographer lady and her family is pretty grounded and solid, a perfect example of putting in the work and thriving in a place that empowers you to be the best you can. If she was in Nigeria, her life would be mediocre and she would not be who the UK has helped her become today. Her children will do even greater things.

if you are resident in foreign country you don't have the pay tax to the british government as a british citizen. you only pay tax on british assets or if you're still a resident in britain.

Another problem is Britons hate black skin, their racism is the worst, you will experience it at work which if not makes you depressed. People on the street will judge that you are a migrant on benefits even if you are working and paying taxes and barely surviving, and Uk government employed you from your home country. This country is hostile to black people and occasional online bullying calling you " shit hole" . My country got its independence from Britain in 1960s and we have a dark past but experiencing racism currently has made me a sad person , no Briton admits there's racism.The couple that talked about the best health care in Britain is lying, Where I live it's hard to get doctors appointment and it's hard to get xrays or scans . Indeed many people from my country go back because its accessible unlike here. It is good to speak the truth , most Africans that migrated before you never say the truth enticing others to come only to realise it is not a bed of roses. They are saying health is free !!how about national insurance tax on the payslip? They sound ignorant

25 years in the UK and I recently moved to Africa. I have put in enough into my UK pension to live comfortably in Africa.

The UK isn't all bad. The weather is horrid and the work-life balance isn't balanced at all.

Our education takes at least 14 to 20 years (are you competitive?) And of course it needs your entire life, if not generations, to create prosperity.

In most cases, the 1st generation doesn't make it (exception: medical staff) and ends up in donkey jobs for many years. The 2nd or 3rd Generation might have bigger chances.

The healthcare of UK is broken (underfunded, increasingly privatized and therefore profit driven like in USA, no qualified staff) and regarded as the worst in Europe.

I'm white British and would like to know why anyone would come to live here? It's wet and cold most of the time. Wages are higher than where your coming from, but when you take taxes, rent, transport, food and entertainment in you've got nothing left. I've lived abroad and will be leaving soon
