Oh my goodness the way kelvin looked at Whitney is undeniable. There was definitely chemistry there, it was just bad timing I think. That would have been a beautiful relationship.

Kevin Costner said the studio was reluctant to cast Whitney in the role, but fortunately he had just finished making Dances with Wolves so he could do anything at that point, but if he tried to make it after Waterworld it would not have happened.

This ending is so iconic, and gives you all the feels! You can clearly tell that they had chemistry together!
