I did a double take. The shock value of it was kinda funny, but if you know the context behind why he just so casually belted that out, it's a lot darker. Simply put, Jake the Snake was horribly abused and raped by his father as a kid, so his head seems to jump straight over to joking about that kinda stuff at times, likely as a coping mechanism. That kinda stuff doesn't leave you.

The fact the snake committed suicide that night probably shows how stressed and abused it felt being treated like a toy. Just being in an arena blowing up with screams and emotions is probably pretty confusing as a snake. Not saying the gimmick shouldn't have happened but it should never again lol

In the late 90's Jake was making the church revival rounds and I was his security escort. All 5'8 160 lbs of me lol. He told the wildest stories. He would get high in Texas and chase tornadoes. His dad was an a-hole. His first match he was wrestling this old OG wrestler and Jake was like 17, so he thought he would just show this old guy who'd boss. Well the old guy puts Jake in a pretzel and Jake is in so much pain he goes to bite the limb in front of him thinking it was the OG but he bit himself and drew blood lol.

I remember that Saturday morning i remember going to my cousins who i have met three times, and he had all those action figure wrestlers and i remember asking him if he saw it... he didnt... he said he doesn't really watch it.. he just thought the wrestlers looked cool and he had made them swords or something... he taught me that day the difference between real and fake people.
