I love tinkering. But I also have ADD and a really terrible memory. So when I've set something up and something goes wrong and I have to reinstall? Ehhhh. I'm not always in the mood.

Meanwhile me:
-Nuke Windows 11 because it's way too bloated
-Flip off VanillaOS for not being able to boot up properly after a few days
-Screech at Ubuntu for not working properly when supposedly reliable

-Settles happily on Debian

Linux distro users, Because we where done with Microsoft so we switched to a better os but unfortunately Microsoft is so f’d up they keep existing and that was a break point for most unstable human beings

Linux users are like vegans, they have to let everyone know about their superiority even though no one asked or cares.

I find it easier to use chatgpt and google bard to help with such issues.

I wouldn't say it's toxic to tell someone to look it up themselves. On some very basic things sure, but it's best to learn how to problem solve on your own or else you will just use google for every answer on the planet, which isn't good for anyone getting used to any Linux distro. The issue is when someone has tried to fix it and still failed to find the answer and so another user tries to tell them to simply try harder, whether or not they know the answer.

I installed arch on my atomic pi cuz they said this OS is minimalist, and after a bunch of headaches figuring out getting wifi and audio to work, and installing essentials, there's not much left on my 16GB eMMC so this OS is no different from atomic pi's ubuntu size-wise. if one only wants a minimalist OS to make some sort of a server or any specific function without x windows, go for this one.

as for the community, I didn't expect much help cuz, well I'm using an SBC, not a conventional PC... so I'll give them the benefit of doubt.

How do I find the cheat sheet? Additionally, is there anything you would recommend doing someone want to get into Arch and Linux in general?

Arch has a great wiki. I refer to it a lot even though I have never used Arch btw.

Well i try to answer when someone asks me something but if the same person asks the same question repetedly i just say them to read the freaking manual since verbal explianations are not useful for some people

Arch is not an elitists distro anymore... Go LFS or Gentoo if you want to show off.

I was a loser thinking other men don't have hearts like I do, so what was the point until God chastised me and showed me it was the other way around.

The only real toxicity I found regarding Linux is when people want a feature and the devs don't want to implement it just because. This happens a lot in a specific DE I won't mention but most people probably know it. But this is an open source problem rather than a Linux one.
