It might be worthwhile to note that since this video was published there is increasing emerging research linking this glue's ingredient to significant risks of cancer and Parkinson's - with inhaling or ingesting the likely mechanisms. Please be safe if you use the glue, no safe levels of exposure are yet known.
Joshua has a high level of trust in the community and his extremely glowing review of E6000 might result in complacency with new users. Ideally the video title should be updated to note the risk and/or some type of popup box on the video to note the risks. Health/wellbeing > best fpv glue solution.
Cool, I just bought the original one from Eclectic for the first time, the 3oz. one for US$10.28
God bless.
I know this is an old video and I hope you check your comments. As you know or have heard, the eyeglasses holders for the Goggles 2 will not stay attached to the eye piece in the goggles. Would a small drop of this keep them in place to fly but be able to take them off if someone wanted to use the goggles.
ОтветитьI was introduced to E6000 (GOOP) back in the mid 2000's and have used it for a thousand things since. I don't want to ever be without it again !!!
ОтветитьWill this glue stay tacky once dry? Is it good to bond metal to carbon fiber please?
ОтветитьIs it good for fixing an antenna to ufl connector?
ОтветитьIt has mad fans across the world. I'm one of them.
ОтветитьThanks, mate, for your frank and straight-up comments on a product that I've heard of but haven't tried.
ОтветитьHi is does it loosen up with heat ?? Bc im trying to apply backglass for an old phone and need a good adhesive since the one given isnt holding up
ОтветитьWhat is the black glue TBS uses to secure the ufl on their RX's?
Ответитьthanks that's all I wanted to know;I'll use it to stick phone back covers and screens
ОтветитьBro I broke the arm off my quad once and glued it back together with e6000 and it flew fine untill my new arm came.
ОтветитьIs it good for ceramic tile or a cracked toilet tank lid corner?
ОтветитьI know this is old, but thanks for putting this together Matt. I just used E6000 to stiffen up the body of heavily modified twin DW Lighting. You were right on the money, it def penetrates and adds lots of stiffness to the EPP. I like how is spreads out so much easier than GOOP, or even Foam Tac(which is incredible-but expensive). Thanks again for the excellent advice!
Ответитьis this better than loctite?
ОтветитьSo some how my galaxy watch active 2 heart rate sensor glass fell off, yes fell off while wearing the dran thing, reached out to Samsung and they wanna charge me $81 to glue it back on, ridiculous 🙄 only had it for a year, anyway so I came across a few similar situations with this same watch and I was directed to this glue my question is will keep the water out? Thanks
ОтветитьWhat do you think about velcro for holding batteries in place? I started out with the foam battery pads, then the umagrip but I still sometimes had a battery eject. Since I went to velcro I haven't even had a battery shift position, let alone eject from the quad. I don't see too many people using velcro though.
ОтветитьCan it hold antenna ufl connector on nano receivers ? Hit glue melted into liquid when doing heat shrink...
ОтветитьCan this glue be used to attach cell phone/watch screens back to the case? I like the idea of being flexible and removable
ОтветитьSomeone told me i can use e6000 on my fpv mainboard after the antenna keeps coming off . Is that safe to do?
ОтветитьSeen this stuff at my local dollar store. Nice find. Thanks Joshua
ОтветитьIt has an elasticity rate of 700% so 7 times its length when stretched, best glue you'll probably ever get legally lol
ОтветитьE6000 or if you want something a tad bit thicker Shoo Goo works really well too. I would never be without one or the other.
ОтветитьWill this bond to TPU ?
ОтветитьHey yeah, nice tip! I think I will make it a point to stock
this with my supplies. To be honest I’m really relieved to see this video. As
someone who started in RC with planes and then moved on to helicopters and then
most recently FPV quads I’ve been a little worried that the craftsmanship of
the hobby might be going the way of the dinos. Before this video, I wasn’t even
sure if anyone in the FPV world had heard of CA glue. (If by chance you are not
familiar with it, I highly recommend educating yourself because it is truly
amazing stuff.) I feel like when Joshua mentioned how some people were gluing
on their antennas he really nailed it in that with a little imagination
combined with some trial and error you might be amazed with the things you can
build and the ways you can improve your model with very little time and/or
money. You can buy carbon fiber, fiberglass, wood, plastic, alumininum and a
variety of other materials just about anywhere for very cheap. Speaking of
such, another good product for these fpv craft is hot glue. It makes a very
simple, safe and effective insulator for your exposed electrical connections
and if you change your mind it can be removed very easily without damaging the
components or leaving any residue. Lastly, don’t forget about the ability to
easily drill and tap threaded holes in metal and plastic as this can be a
hugely useful repair/building method.
i used this a lot when making jewelry back in the day. its niche but once you know about it , you basically don't need any other glues
ОтветитьI make entire pods out of this.
fc splash
Esc splash
Vtx splash
Reciever splash
Set ant and cam

Buy the smaller tubes otherwise you'll waste a lot ... it does eventually dry out once opened. It softens EPO foam when you glue it but all seems OK once fully dry.
ОтветитьGreat stuff. I use it on my tiny whoop frames for repair and reinforcement. Haven't to buy a tiny whoop frame since i started using e6000.
ОтветитьRefix tape for the win
Ответитьthose motor wire look mank, messy!
ОтветитьGood but try g02 from loctite same but better tad more flex!
ОтветитьIve used this stuff since I was a kid. Great multi-purpose glue.
ОтветитьTBS has the funk
ОтветитьMy chick has used that for sewing for years.
ОтветитьHa! So cool! This stuff is amazeballs! My girl happens to be a creative designer and uses this for her creations.. I snipped it away from her first time my r-sxr antenna went off! So cool to see a pro like you telling me I was right to use this hahaha
ОтветитьSorry damn autocorrect...
Yes, Toulene is cancer-causing in the state of California, but so also is that carbon fiber dust you just breathed in by grinding on your frame, which is worse than asbestos. Enjoy!
Best glue I have ever used is one that I make myself. Goop/ ShoeGoo mixed at a 50/50 ratio with Toulene for thin, or at a 25% Toulene, to 75% goo.
Does not eat Epp, and some Epo, let me repeat "some Epo"
Its Non conductive, and is REMOVEABLE, but sticks like hell. Similar to RTV, but way better. It will peel off clean if you grab it with a tweezers, and peel slowly.
I prefer to use header pins on my flight controllers, but where I solder wire-to-board, for added strength, I always twist the wires where the wires are close to the PCB and put a nice big drop of the stuff on there, which prevents the wire from moving back and forth and breaking off as you work on things...
And yes toiling is cancer-causing in the state of California...
What's so is that carbon fiber dust you just breathe in after grinding on your frame which is now lodged in your lungs. It's worse than asbestos, so use a mask.
Been using this stuff for a while BUT if you need an extra thickness of silicone batt matt ( I had some screws that stuck up as high as the original matt ) it won't stick two of them together, CA fixed that.
ОтветитьJB you wouldn't believe where I found it in Australia. A store named Spotlight , Its a sewing and craft supply shop.
ОтветитьSHOEGOO!! Same same !!
ОтветитьWhat happen to the X-Class build? Get the bugs worked out? Congratulations on the new baby.
ОтветитьJust to let you know this is the only glue I've had success with in repairing "Tiny Whoop" frames for over a year now. :)
ОтветитьSir I have a doutgh that ,For beginner which flight controller is best.
ОтветитьLooks like it is very much like Goop which I have used for years. Any real difference?
ОтветитьYes need that good show bro
ОтветитьAnd its washer and dryer safe ...now I can wash and dry my kwad without the glue coming off.
Perfect.
🤘😁👍
i use a hot glue gun for loads of stuff, it takes a while to get good at it, but i mount antennae and once an fc and a camera
ОтветитьE 6000 or otherwise known as "Shoe Goo" is an awesome adhesive. I have used it to repair duck hunting waders , and even back in the day used it for repairing water beds. I have used it in this hobby for so many different purposes. So glad to see it getting recognized
