This is an unbelievable tutorial. I'm 4 sessions in, and starting to come up on foil. The clarity this video provides in terms of getting the timing right is like no other video has ever explained - I now deeply understand how to coordinate the arms and the legs for a successful pump. I was witnessing the more experienced riders getting up on foil quite easily on a 10-12knot day, whereas I couldn't progress past just taxi-ing. Can't wait to try this tip out, first on land then on the board. Thanks for what you do!
ОтветитьThe best explanation I've seen so far, and I've watched quite a lot of them.
ОтветитьI always come back to these tutorials, there are no tutorials as clear and professional as these! Thanks! <3
Ответитьthe most complete and well-explained ever! 👏👏👏 greetings from brazil!
ОтветитьThat helps me so much thank you
Ответитьbest pumping tutorial ever! Thanx!! Even I could understand it now 😅
ОтветитьAmazing
Ответитьexcellent well edited tutorial, thank you!
ОтветитьBest wing tutorial video!!!
ОтветитьAll great videos! Started kitesurfing with you and now starting wing. Can I ask where you live? Looks beautiful
ОтветитьHi! thank so much for this video. I have been trying to get on foil with f one rocket air 7'11 x 31, 2200 foil and 8 m wing without success in 8-14 knot. that is the usual wind in my area. Please, I would love to hear your comments about my next board thinking the most efficient aboard for light wind.
I,m 105 kg 1.97 cm tall / 230 lb 6'5 tall.
I have 3 boards in mind,
f one rocket air 5'10 x 29 (inflatable 125 lts) is it too small or better 6'6? no option to adjust foil
fanatic sky air premium 5,10 x 28.5 (inflatable 140 lts) oval shape for light wind? worth hard board price tag? the only one with foot strap option and foil adjustment for inflatable
f one rocket v2 6'0 30 (hard board 120 lts) huge and expensive, will this be my final board or smaller later? no foot straps option
will a hard board make huge difference for takeoff in light wind?
will a more rectangular shape will help panning in order get on foil faster?
Ultimately I like to buy whatever gets me more time in the water in light wind considering my weight!
thanks so much, have a good day!
I don't know what I can add that hasn't already been said, but this has been the best tutorial. The repetition and graphics are excellent! I was imagining the oval pumping motion much rounder, so that's been helpful to see, the descriptions of upward and forward acceleration really helped to hone the concepts. Thanks so much! Going to look for your tips how to ride on foil now..
ОтветитьAnother excellent tutorial! The only thing I would have added in the narrative is that the front to back foot weight shifting can be pretty subtle and it still works well. Like one friend said to me, "think about jumping up and down more than rocking forward and back. The forward and back shifting almost happens automatically when you use the correct oval pump and full body extension you describe so well. At the most, I think about stomping the back foot harder when reaching up. I admit this is a minor point, but when teaching in person saying "oval pump and jump up and down!" is simpler than explaining everything!
I love that you show practicing the wing handling on shore. I believe people spend too little time on shore when learning new things, thinking that shore time is only for rank beginners. In fact spending too little shore time to perfect your wing handling is how to get stuck in beginning phases of learning!
Brilliant explanation!
ОтветитьThe best explanation I've seen so far. 🤙 I'll try it right after breakfast. Thank you 😀
Ответить👍🏻
ОтветитьYour tutorials are at a different level. Very helpful. Thanks
ОтветитьSo good! Thank you.
ОтветитьAmazing vid✊🏻
Ответитьthis is brilliant, happy to pay to watch.
ОтветитьThis video is amazing. I love how you break everything down and explain why it all works, and then put all the elements back together. I can't wait to try this the next time I'm on the water. A most sincere thank you.
ОтветитьExcellent explanation and visualization. Thanks
Ответить👍 super explication même si je ne comprends pas bien l anglais.
Vraiment la meilleure vidéo que j ai vu jusqu’à présent 👍👍
Bon, j espère que passer à la pratique va aller 😅😄
best tutorial ever how to pump on foil - thank you sooo much for sharing!
ОтветитьIt is difficult to figure out if the pumping circle has its axis parallel to the central strut, so the wing is moving up and down and left and right, or parallel to the the leading edge, moving forward and back.
ОтветитьThe BEST video on board and wing foiling. Masterful job of frame by frame teaching. Well Done! Thank you!
ОтветитьI see the light! This video has so much detail and it explains so well how this technique works it is awesome. Thanks a lot for doing this and sharing it
Ответитьgreat explanation. cheers mate👍
ОтветитьI will try this in about 6 hrs!!! Thank you!
ОтветитьGreat video! What size wing should I use for 6-12 mph winds?
ОтветитьExcellent video, i have flown so far bit mainly due to very strong wind.. I am sure this will help hugely in lighter winds.. my mast is in the middle currently.. would pushing all the way forwards help with this exercise for lift?? Thx Paul
ОтветитьThis video is fantastic, and the best pumping explanation I’ve seen so far. Can’t wait to get on the water to try it. Thank you!
ОтветитьAwesome tutorial. Very clear. Looking forward to trying this tomorrow!.
ОтветитьBest instruction on this subject I've seen. By a long shot .However the position of the subtitles right over the guy's feet is a bit unfortunate.
Ответитьyeh - excellent video - well explained
Ответитьafter flipping through a few channels stumbled across yours. By far the best i've seen. clear and concise without the hype. Thank you
ОтветитьHi. Agree with many comments. Brilliant video, thanks so much for making it. Regards.
ОтветитьExcellent video guys
ОтветитьThanks for that video, I found it very useful. My previous attempts at wingfoil pumping had been described as looking like a child throwing a tantrum in a supermarket, arms and legs all over the place!
ОтветитьThis is the best video for achieving flight. Great job and ithank you infinitely 🤙
ОтветитьThis tutorial is a gift to us beginners. Thank you so much.
Ответитьfantastic tutorials thank you
ОтветитьGreat video. The contraction has made a huge difference helping the board unweigh and pop for me!
I think the other trepidation I’ve had is pushing the back foot down during the extension phase: I haven’t really had an extension phase and I believe it’s because I’ve tried to unweigh the board through both strokes of the pumping process. The explanation you give where you push the back foot in during extension to help pitch the board up makes perfect sense. I’ll try to put that knowledge to use today :)
By far the best tutorials I have seen! Now I get it!
ОтветитьExcellent explanation and video! Thank you so much!!
