It seems that both lines that are way colder and more spiteful as well as lines that are a bit more wholesome were cut to make the game keep it's comedic tone more.

"Did you ever think about the time someone says your name for the last time? Well it's going to be now, im going to kill you, Chell" is a genuinely cold line, would've felt pretty out of place in the Portal 2 we got lol

I love her concept of splitting the facility in half lol

The stuff about the cat is possibly a refrence to the Lab Rat comic, where she asks for "a little bit of neurotoxin" for science on bring your cat to work day.

So you're telling me there was my homie Rocket Sentry Turret in portal 2 but they deleted it.
But i think it's for good because if rocket turret was there GLaDOS would won.

The ones that are different takes from the original Portal really confuse me

That has to mean the rocket turret from portal 1 was planed for portal 2

Apparently some of these lines were cut because the playtesters thought GLaDOS was "too mean" so the writers toned her down a little bit

Knowing Valve, these aren’t “cut” lines. After the events of Left 4 Dead and the likes, these lines could be used for custom content or campaigns like Portal Stories and such. It’s good to have these lines to our perusal. There could be a mod that restores these lines back as well.
