Hard to believe but maybe within a fews weeks time maybe a month,,cant really remember,,anyway one day I bumped into Levon in the mens room of all places at the slothburg ny rest area,,stoped and chated a bit,,he was on his way home from a throat cancer treatment down in the city,,even though he was pretty ill at the time he was a real gentleman,a wonerful human being,,,he told me stop by the house sometime his studio,,in woodstock,,sadly I never got the chance,,but like I said maybe a few weeks later I was walking thru Kennedy airport jamacia NY, on my way home from chicago and walked rite into Robbie,we stoped and chated for a few minutes,,had a laugh or 2 about the good old days and fond memmories,,and he said of all things nice to see you!,,, sometimes you can just tell when you meet a true HUMAN BEING!

This video is proof that Robbie could sing, I read in Levon’s book that they always put a dea Mike in front of Robbie, in The Band, but I remember Robbie’s 1st solo album and he sang on that. Also I love Walela very much, Rita & Priscilla Coolidge and Laura Satterly, Priscilla’s daughter, her white buffalo daughter.❤

I loved his music, especially the second song here… I’m going to look for his song ‘Today is a Good Day to Die’, now It seems appropriate… It’s a sad day. I’ve loved Robbie for 30 years. RIP Robbie, you were one of the good ones. 💕🌈

I was living on Onondaga Hill and going to Onondaga Community College when this album came out. Robbie Robertson and the Red Road Ensemble's Music For the Native Americans was amazing to listen to when it first came out and it still has that same power to this day.

Ghost Dance is such a beautiful piece of art. I'm grateful to my high school dance teacher for introducing me to Robbie Robertson.
