All phones has +/- the same results. Somewhere the colors are slightly better, somewhere something else. But not a big difference. Yet, no camera, including professional ones, can be a copy of a human eye. But all these are a big step forward.

Why in the hell is this guy comparing the pixel's and apple's 5x zoom lenses to samsungs 10x when it comes to night photography? The samsung has a 3x lense, that is way closer to 5x than 10x, the difference in aperture makes all the difference. I guess you gotta stick to the OG guys with the camera comparisons...

The only thing I slightly disagree with is that shot of your daughter. I think that the Samsung is way too soft for me, personally. The pixel is slightly over sharpened, but I prefer it to being too soft. Everything else I fully agree on.

In video the iPhone is in front, on the other hand in the photo the S23 Ultra explodes everyone.

So glad that you not only took the time to do the video comparisons, but did them simultaneously instead of one after the other, like most do. Having them right at the start of the video was also nice. So many reviewers just mention videos at the end as almost an afterthought

What up with the yellow tainting of the pictures by iPhone? Your daughter looks like she has liver issues on iPhone shot. Most of the pictures have some added yellow to them by the iPhone.
Is that an iPhone thing?

No one can match S23 ultra versatile camera. I think the photos with the night shots are taken using normal camera but when you use night mode then it's a different story.

Try go to camera asistant in samsung and set prioritizing into quality only. The photos are much sharper, less noise and more detail.
It is really a big jump than defult setting camera on samsung.

I agree with the over sharpening with the s23 ultra, its about the only thing I dont like about this camera. Especially when taking pictures of plants, the leaves on trees almost look like a blur when you crop in. It can also be a bit saturated sometimes as well but I think they have toned it down compared to other years.

Samsung still has motion blur and focus lag issues which is unforgivable

Comparing different Zoom Levels is completely useless! Why not compare 5 times with the S23U's 3 times Lens cropped in and than compare the 10 times with the other phones digitaly cropped in.

A few of the pictures had different zooms compared. The Samsung has the streetlight in it yet the other two didn't.

When you talked about true to life colors, how many people post pics straight out of the phone camera as it is without editing? I'd say all 3 phones are good. Some people are just nitpicking.

Love that you are pointing out over sharpening which annoyed me a lot in my pixel 7 pro. All other reviewers seem to skip this topic.

Great review. Pixel seems to have the highest dynamic range. Also seems sharper. iPhone seem to generally have "yellowish" warm setting. I would have liked to see the zoom comparison not at max range but all with the same x. Also, remember that the iPhone and Pixel are new devices which will see more updates to the camera and functions. The post editing available in the Pixel is unrivaled.

Every camera comparison I see these phones in just pisses me off with the state of Android video. The Pixel and Galaxy could be killing it with video if there was an easy way to just turn off EIS. You can see it in every clip and it just looks so bad. Let me turn off EIS and use a gimbal ffs
