Off the topic, voltage is not a vector quantity but why is it explained with a vector diagram when they are dealing with line-to-line voltage in the three phase system? Did the discovery come as a result of an experience(as an afterthought) or as a result of prediction?

I wish we had this explanation available when I was a kid. Our teachers didn't have the tools to convey the information. And by tools I means the intelligence or the creativity required to convey it.

I already did my best to learn it. xD

Vectors in physics: a quantity with magnitude and direction

Vectors in calculus: a directed line segment with a magnitude and direction

Vectors in linear algebra: a set of numbers explaining a specific solution to a complex system

When you don't have a clear explaination just say : "When we properly assign them they become same".😂😂

Why school never teaches the importances and what actually the vector is? I really get bored during class why we need did what the use ever we ask the day it have both magnitude and direction

I thought a vector was a type of criminal partnered with direction and magnitude, but this video really opened up my eyes to the astounding reality of vectors! Thank you once again TED-Ed! 😌

The idea of this visualization may be beautifully presented to some but somewhat confusing to others. I think learning is something that depends on learner, more precisely, the way he/she interpret the message. For something to be actually "understandable" it should relate to what they see around them.

If it wasn't for these kind of educational channels I would have chosen some civil subjects then science and maths.

I'm in year 5 of primary school (which means you're age 9-10) and since I use circuits in rec room (a game that's like roblox, but actually better in my opinion)
I used used vectors for like position and stuff and I never really understood it, the only thing I knew was that im used to it so I can make stuff with vectors, I just don't understand it so this just confuses me alot
