@fixthetempo7276 Doing BGA289 right now with 0.45 balls, I don't know about the pitch, but it's a CPU off Zyxel Keenetic 1 (white original). So far aligned the balls and then heated with 180C so the solder don't melt. Flux melted and some of the balls joined together. Now going to reposition everything. Then repeat. If balls don't stick together then gonna do the same at 350C and finish this thing. If things come to worst, probably gonna buy universal stencil or perhaps throw out this router -- it's time to upgrade anyway.

Why do the balls stick together when his with air? Too much flux?

Wish me luck! Just go the microscope yesterday, this is my first job under microscope. Actually this router was laying around for sometime now, waiting for the right moment to get some love.

I'm trying to reball my graphics card gpu but i have an issue: When the gpu is heated the soldering balls are attracting each other like a magnet, i can'nt understand why and how to fix this issue. I wish if i could do it your way.
PS: There is no way for me to get a reballing stencil on hands whitch i would use if i could.
Thanks a lot for the video.

When installing, would heating it under the board work as another option?

Looked simple cuz of your skills but we all know how impressive it is to do it manually and the patience it requires. Good work

Do you really need balls for that? Won't solder paste do the job on its own? I think I saw someone do that once, it even drew the chip into the exact place from a slightly imperfect placement

Wow, interested but, can`t i just apply solder on the ic and then use the hot air to separate plus using paste?

so if you couldnt get the noname solder balls that took a life time to put together one by one, couldnt you just use regular solder to make the balls instead of doing all that
